I have just ordered Windows Vista and I am now able to download it straight from the Internet. Can I do this without activating windows XP?

<2> nope, because to install Vista with bootcamp, you need to have xp installed 1st then you install vista (from what ive heard)

<14> they will have forseen such an eventuality
<14> I expect if you try running the upgrade on your machine, it will tell you pretty early on that its not possible
