<5> Alternate Reality.

<4> not a php help channel
<3> Alright CarlH
<3> Just making sure you are legit
<6> _PhAnTaSm i'm thinkin about an asterisk pbx at my noc to replace my vonage.. kept its like 300 bucks for a 7 channel pri line

<1> |pit: My company is http://www.clickalyzer.com
<2> |ww vonage is so ****ty u can do a nice cheap asterisk server setup for about 200$ with the cards you need from ebay
<5> Dravine, that's what I am, and I wanted to get a developer feel if phpNuke was worth my time figuring out.
<4> no it's not
<6> twysted definitly it's just the PRI lines that are expensive.. least around here
<2> php nuke and its variants **** ****
<1> bottom line, looking for coders --- the more the merrier :)
<3> CarlH: Meh I still don't freelance
<3> I'm too busy
<2> |ww what are pri lines?
<4> I freelance
<5> My kids' cub scout troop wants a web site, and I'm burned out from about 3 months of 15hr/day programming from the fall, and I don't want to write alot of code for free.
<6> twysted primary rate interface lines, they take it from digital to analog
<1> |pit: no worries
<4> but a bit to much
<6> twysted 23 per T1 line
<2> |ww ah those
<4> marius_36, so send them to blogger.com
<4> and say "figure it out"
<7> Ya, I have an Altigen box, and its annoying as hell, constnatly needs rebooting, pain in the ***.
<2> |ww havent messed with anything like that, yet :)
<7> I'm thinking bout just replacing it with *
<2> marius_36> blogger (Y)
<5> I think that I might just step away, and not commit. They want user authentication, because of photos of kids and such.
<0> Just out of curiosity, has anyone here found a good MVC framework for PHP that they enjoy using?
<5> upload, albums, and such.
<7> The big thing the altigen does is it has a really slick desktop client.
<6> _PhAnTaSm yea.. i had an old skool pbx i used for predialing the area code that needed kicked a lot
<0> I've been throwing around the idea of finally getting off my *** and writing my own, but if there's a quality one that exists, then I've no reason to rewrite it.
<7> Its super handy for everyone to manage thier lines.
<4> kaneda_, #3
<5> Thanks dravine, and everyone else. I'm heading off to bed.
<4> peace
<2> well my fellow nerds

<4> crackwhore in ascii
<6> lol
<3> beautiful man
<9> I searched the function list on php.net, but don't see a "goto" function. Is there a way to achieve similar functionality?
<4> Asmodee`, yeah
<3> there is a goto
<4> wrap a plastic bag around your head with a rubber band round the neck
<4> and goto sleep bitch
<4> you writing quickbasic 1.1 man?
<4> learn about cl***es
<9> I'm plenty familiar with cl***es
<6> 1 ? My Program ****s
<3> yes you ****
<9> I tried "goto end;" and got syntax error. Is goto not implemented in PHP 4? the php.net shows no matches for goto in the function list
<4> cl***es != that thing you go to every morning
<6> 187 ? |pit got stabbed in the face, Looozer!
<4> what are you trying to accomplish with goto end;?
<8> goto end?
<8> isn't that flash?
<4> must be that new unix shell from romania
<6> Asmodee` maybe you want exit(); ?
<9> dravine: I have cleanup code at the end of my code that I would like to execute regardless of whether or not there is an error. It is more efficient to use a goto or a jump rather than to call a function to execute this code. The only other alternative is to have nested if hell. I choose the goto route as it is the most efficient and simplest.
<4> .rash
<4> Asmodee`, ever hear of switch()
<9> Perhaps my background in C and ***embly is causing me to worry far too much about performance issues.
<4> oooh
<4> ***embly
<4> rad
<9> dravine: have ever heard of perhaps you don't know as much about programming and efficiency as you think?
<4> write some uber ti 85 games?
<3> mofo
<3> with that said I'll go shower
<8> whats a good mp3 player for linux?
<8> as gnome didn't come with one
<9> you must be one of those ignorant programers that think "goto == evil". Newbies are told not to use goto because it can lead to bad program structure, but that is the only reason that is done.
<4> PapaBear, rhythmbox
<4> Asmodee`, no, I'm one of those programmers that last used goto on an apple ][ e in 1989
<6> Asmodee` i've done stuff with like continue; ?
<4> Asmodee`, use cl***es and put in a destructor
<9> The reason I wanted to use goto was to avoid a single function call. Do you really think I would consider a cl*** if I'm that concerned about efficiency?
<4> honestly
<4> I don't think you'd consider php if you were going to be that anal about it
<9> Anyway I give up. I should stop worrying so much about efficiency and cleanup code as PHP probably handles cleanup anyway.
