<2> thats couse you had fall back configed to a valid IP, which is not the same.
<2> "limited or no conn" means a DHCP configured interface failed to aquire an address, and hence is using fall back, normaly (and sanly) that is set auto to a link local IP, but you make windows set it to whatever you want.
