<0> that's my starter doc. just fleshing out the idea. plan is to stomp the beans out of optigold.
<0> livestats is actually kinda nifty.
<0> pain in the *** to install, but it's quite comprehensive.

<3> s/pa/ap/
<9> tojoe what i have to do ???

<9> this dir is on it`s place
<1> hiya Gaia^
<10> Redragon^ EEK!
<10> POOR desk
<1> yea its been takin a beating today
<11> Evening Gaia
<11> Redr: Counting the hours to the 11th?
<10> longword now i am sure that you Only do that to attempt to keep me 'in line'
<10> :)
<11> I prefer the term 'in series'
<1> longword i'm still fighting with that imap heirachy issue, still nothing comes to me on how to count this stuff out
<1> but my webmail is fundimentally flawed till i figure this out :(
<10> me? im fighting with work, as usual heh
<1> longword they called back, i'm in tomorrow at 9:20 am :)
<11> Redr: Gratz!
<1> gonna be a pudding weekend hehe
<10> steak 'n' kidney?
<6> evening Gaia^ longword
<10> b0o
<1> damn why doesn't imap have a command to retrieve this freakin info
<11> Redr: Have you tried decrypting another IMAP client?
<1> yea but no luck on squirrelmail, any suggestions for me to look at?
<11> Redr: Roundcube might be small enough to be comprehensible, with the majority of its code going on Web2.0 sugar
<4> roundcube is pretty slick, though it was still lacking somewhat in features last time I looked at it.
<1> will give that a shot longword
<11> Fiver: They'd probably call that a feature
<0> haha
<11> Fiver: Certainly I've had customers comment on how clean it is
<11> awpti: Feeping Creaturitis is a real disease you know
<1> damn php
<4> longword: yes, I appreciate it's cleanliness, but there are a few "features" or perhaps I should call them plugins, that it lacks that make switching to it from squirrelmail impractical, or did last time I looked.
<11> Fiver: You can read your mail. It's got an addressbook. Everything else is fat.
<4> longword: tell that to my users :/
<4> and my boss, for that matter
<11> Fiver: I'd be delighted to.
<1> i guess this would be better if i knew php :)
<11> Redr: It's just like C only looser
<11> Redr: Oh, and with Perl style hashed arrays
<5> longword: more like php-style
<1> i'm totally missing something here hehe
<12> what is the kernel version fedora core 5
<11> Well, it's closer to Perl style than C style :)

<12> on
<8> does anyone know of a driver for a Lexmark X6170 (all in one)?
<11> Sham: It's a customized 2.6.17 kernel
<12> cool
<12> thanx
<5> longword: true.
<11> Sham: Though the install kernel is likely 2.6.16
<6> vamos
<10> ? ok im gone
<12> so the linux SCSI generic driver version 2.6.16 will work
<1> damn i just dont see how they are determining which segment is which :(
<13> whatcha referring to?
<13> php is way easier to code than perl
<13> not to mention more readable ;)
<0> php also isn't ment to be used it applications such as red is developing.
<13> i didn't say that it was, nor do i know what he is working on at the moment
<13> i'm saying that being proficient in perl, php should be a breeze
<13> and he shouldn't have too much trouble interpretting it
<1> what is &$structure in php?
<13> i'm not sure, lol
<1> dont see that in perl :) least i haven't
<13> but based on c knowledge, and knowing php has similar syntax
<13> you know what a structure is?
<1> function &getMimeNumbers(&$structure, $no_refs = false, $mime_number = '', $prepend = '')
<1> thats another thing that gets me, in perl it would be sub somethinghere
<1> without an &
<8> how can I add an plugin to compiz? Just downloaded opacity, but I have no idea how to integrate it...
<1> i dont even know what compiz is :)
<13> i have a bit of experience with php but i hate webdev, so i don't have a lot
<13> in C though, & means 'address of' operator
<13> refering to a specific address in memory
<13> referring*
<1> here it seems to be an object
<13> yeah, that's what i was about to suggest
<1> now if i can figure out where they build that damn object ...
<13> i've seen it used that way when reading a c++ book... and i **** at oop
<13> (no experience at all, just read a few things)
<1> okay this is just aggrivatin the hell out of me
<1> bah that stuff not helpin, just makin my head hurt hehe
<13> perhaps i was mistaken in my ***umption :P
<13> does perl have objects?
<14> can i use my tv-out under linux? (fedora 5 and slackware)
<13> fu210qr: what chipset does it use?
<14> ati
<14> it`s on my videocard, and that`s an ati radeon...
<15> hi Gaia^
<15> you're going to cut a sausage in half, and put a slice of bread in between??
<0> haha
<0> cut sausage in half, put some pb&j on it.
<15> wot's pb&j?
<15> pork belly & jam?
<0> peanutbutter and jelly.
<15> ewww. That's gross. On a sausage??? yeesh. Poor cow.
<13> fu210qr: i have no experience with tv cards personally, but it is my opinion that ati hardware is usually well supported, and bttv chipsets
<13> oops
<13> err... for the record i meant 'understanding' rather than 'opinion'
<13> cairo?
<13> LadyByte cairo
<10> Viking667: + mustard, spring onions, cucumber,tomatoe, etc
<16> If I mount a windows share via mount.cifs, if that windows machine reboots, even after it books back up I lose the connection to the share until unmount and re-mount it. Is there a way to have that automatically done (or at least attemped) in the even a mount is lost?
<10> IMO Anyone that actually eats pb&j, should be hung, drawn and then quartered, preferably at dawn
<10> :)
<13> is there a man page for mount.cifs?
<13> or a cifs section in the mount man?
<13> dunno what else to suggest, i stay as far away from windows solutions as i can :P
<17> erm
<17> Itanuk
<17> the easiest way that I've gotten around that problem is to verify that the windows shares are still mounted at the begining of any of my scripts
<18> hi how can i set default editor ? i tryed something like this : export $EDITOR=/usr/bin/pico
<18> but aint working... : -bash: export: `=/usr/bin/pico': not a valid identifier
<17> and if you want real-time checking of smb mounts, then make a cron job that tries to write to the remote fileshare... if it fails, then umount/mount the drive again.
<15> Itanuk: that's a bit difficult to guarantee...
<17> LittleJ, I think you need to put spaces before and after the = sign
