<0> That box hasn't been rebooted this year
<9> how many days is that?
<1> themaxxz hi
<10> hi long, them
<11> I'm still trying to get my Fedora Core 5 working on my 2nd HD with XP on the primary drive (NTFS); but the boot manager will never come up; I had a friend tell me that there's graphical boot loaders that come with FC5; so I sent to FC5, with the linux rescue CD, and typed "startx"; but the GUI for Linux won't come up; so I was going to paste the error log into that web site for that purpose; but I needed to copy the error log to the f
<11> so that I could then put it on XP and then back to the web; but I can't mount the floppy drive
<11> i have an LS-120 super drive; and I couldn't find anything on the web that tells me how to mount that drive with fedora core; i did find a page that had the proper mount command; but one part is a little confusing
<11> it says that: "mount -t vfat /dev/hdc /mnt/floppy" is the proper command for an LS-120 drive for Linux
<11> but the hdc part is supposed to be swapped for what your linux sees the floppy drive as
<11> and I don't know how to find that information out; and my guess is that the linux OS isn't even seeing that drive; but I'm not sure about it
<12> and that's /dev/fd0 if we are talking about a normal floppy drive
<11> and I'm not sure if FC5 even supports the LS-120 super drive; i guess i shouldn't ***ume that it does or doesn't; anyone know if it does or doesn't support the LS-120?
<12> no idea
