<1> whitewabbit: I just got through compiling xfce-4.2.3.2 with compaq c... took a little work though, since its a strict ansi c compiler but their code is pretty good... rolled about 6 patches [to fix little stuff] and going to roll them in to rpms sometime tomorrow... this mutha runs like a bear... I LOVE Xfce
<3> Mainly for games...for 2-3 games i'm working on and soon they will be ready for the world free.
<3> girL--17, are you a stinky,***y,spammy bot ?
<3> OptimusPrime, neat! btw you ever used Intel's compiler for linux ?
<3> I may get it and switch to that.
<1> whitewabbit: na but I've wanted to.. I run an Alpha so intel compilers don't do me any good :-( But I do have an intel laptop, getting ready to install linux on that mutha
<3> OptimusPrime wonderful :)
<3> Let me/us know about the lappie.
<2> guys
<2> that **** is sooooo 1995
<3> yeah w***up ?
<3> haha
<1> whitewabbit: I wish I knew enough about C to port KDE over to strict ansi c/c++...that would be SWEET... and damn fast
<3> OptimusPrime indeed! i wish i knew too
<1> whitewabbit: hey, does AMD have a compiler or do they simply depend on gcc.gnu.org for support
<3> OptimusPrime, i'm still learning stuff, i'm not ready for something serious in programming.
<1> whitewabbit: me neither but I can whip Xfce's butt ;-) na, their code is actually pretty clean...
<3> Plus i lost some time learning about exploits and dirty codes in order to patch stuff but i got bored and quit.
<3> That's good, clean code is important.
<3> You don't see every day nowadays clean code.
<1> whitewabbit: personally I think Xfce is one of the best written desktop managers around with KDE pulling a close second...
<2> KDE is to any measure of "great" as straight is to Richard Gere.
<1> whitewabbit: for its bulk, they managed to get KDE pretty well optimized...something I wish they would do with Gnome... they roll out with so many new 'versions' they can't keep up
<1> danq: whaaaattttt!
<2> You heard me!
<0> kde is teh gheyyy
<3> OptimusPrime you know what was the first thing i've learned when i started as a kid (8years old i believe)
<0> i R usin fluxbox h4x
<3> +?
<2> i love fluxbox.
<0> me too!!111one
<3> KDE's heavy though
<3> well the very first thing i've learned is the 0/1
<2> heavy like Oprah
<1> danq: I remember Gere back when I was a kid.. he was the ladies man... that guy had more *** scenes during the 80's than just about any other actor... check out Breathless ;-) jez
<3> that you see on every switch
<0> i have a celeron pice of **** i cant afford kde
<0> lmao
<3> i remembered that now cause i saw it and remembered that i said it to a girl who was studying computers and she had no idea what it was
<3> haha

<1> whitewabbit: hehehe
<0> yo theres something id like to know
<3> :*
<3> flush ?
<1> whitewabbit: you're supposed to 'dazzle' them.. not confuse them
<3> OptimusPrime, indeed :)
<0> my bios says AGP 4X but on win****, with the nvidia config tools it says "AGP BUS 2X"
<0> ?wtf
<0>
<3> That's why she never talked to me again :P
<3> flush lol
<0> but thats true
<0> its teh absurd
<1> flush: its probably nvidia config thats messing up/slipping... but who's to say
<0> i guess the bios is right but does it mean that the stupid prog runs @ 2x
<0> dunno
<0> and i still hate windows
<0> i was readin in tha newspapa that micro$oft will have to publish """some""" of their source code
<1> flush: if it says 2x, i would guess that its going to run at 2x... is the card 2x?
<0> no the card is 8x
<1> flush: and you just have it set at 4x
<1> flush: oh
<0> i cant
<0> is there a prog i can use to change the bus speed?
<1> na, only in the bios...that I'm aware of
<0> i know there was one but i just forgot the damn name, you could overclock to death
<0> yeah but the bios is already at 4x
<1> flush: yea I remember what you're talking about... I can't remember the name either, ... power tweaker? power clocker? something like that
<0> oh yeah im sure there was power in it
<3> You will excuse me gentlemen, i'm out for some rest.See you all later.Be safe and have fun flush, optimus and others.Peace
<1> whitewabbit: talk to ya when you get back
<0> nice, later dude
<3> Okay, farewell gentlemen.

<1> flush: let me googlize
<0> thats where i found it
<0> it came back to my memory after i saw the name
<0> google > god
<1> flush: that looks liek that might be it... powertweak 2.2
<0> yup
<0> whats the use of the "digital out" jack on my sound card
<1> flush: I would use it to feed an amp
<0> which is for
<0> oh
<0> i see
<0> i wonder why logitech made those damn pedals pluged with a phone jack into the stering; its always ****en broken
<0> gotta pull/push up/down the wire to get some brakes
<1> flush: I don't know
<1> brb
<0> HQ we copy
<4> Is there any way to test to see if a bootable iso burned correctly without actually rebooting the machine?
<0> why wouldnt it boot
<4> Who knows. I'd like to test this before I drive 50 miles to my friends house and then it just not work. But then again, if I could, I'd rather not lose uptime :-/
<0> hrm its an iso of what
<0> what prog
<4> ubuntu. He runs dialup and wants to start learning linux.
<0> i have mandrake and i use dial up <---- lol @ me
<0> anwyay, i dunno but im sure it will boot
<0> i just dont see why a linux iso wouldnt make itself bootable when burnin
<4> flush: If I burned it wrong, it's a possibility :-/
<0> it makes no sens, neither the caramilk does
<0> got any outputs?
<0> if its a linux iso, and the burning program didnt say anything
<0> i would take the change to say "its good"
<4> Oh okay thanks then.
<0> hehe np
<5> bloody new server appears to have crashed or something.
