<0> tools/convconf.c: In function `cofile': <0> tools/convconf.c:81: error: label at end of compound statement <0> make: *** [all] Error 1 <1> !bnc <2> rumour has it, bnc is a connector for coaxial cable such as that used for some video connections and RG58, cheapernet, connections. A BNC connector has a bayonet-type shell with two small knobs on the female connector which lock into spiral slots in the male connector when it is twisted on. used for old workstation monitors, or an IRC session bouncing proxy, or ... <1> or was it.. <1> !psybnc <2> NO WAY! Forbidden topic. bouncers ****. If you're responsible enough to use it properly, then you're responsible enough to read the docs to set it up. And don't ask where to find help: that'd be helping you. <0> yes here i dont ask help about bnc <0> but for update of MAKE <3> is about make :P <0> ;P <1> go upgrade your system like you've been told numerous times so far <4> Dark_Evil, to put it simple, there is no newer make for fc3 <0> aham <0> can i upgrade my system without lose my users and files?

Does it have to be server rlogind ? <7> anybody wants a beer ? scot just gave me a whole factory <10> copy and paste your /etc/fstab <8> ok <10> mdl_: bring it on! <7> don't paste in here... <7> LadyByte paste ? <2> More than 3 lines? Paste your stuff at http://paste.getlinuxhelp.org/ and then tell us the url it gives you. <8> /dev/hda5 none swap sw 0 0 <5> ! <7> # <8> doesnt look mounted <8> but it is <5> the DCops guys are sending all the tickets i bogusly put in their queue back to me before i can log out to go home faster than i can forward them :(((( <10> what disk are you trying to access? the hda5 that you pasted is formatted as a swap partition! <8> its my usb external 2.5" drive <10> forgottendru: Paste your stuff at http://paste.getlinuxhelp.org/ and then tell us the url it gives you. Paste in your entire /etc/fstab <8> okay done <8> i dont think my fstab contains everything
<3> Don`t look so good <8> check my new post, it is what happens when i type "mount" <10> so the sda6 is what you're trying to access, right? <8> correct <8> thats my fat32 partition on the ext hard dricve <4> seems a lot of partitions for an external usb disk <10> type /dev/sda6 and paste the output <10> sorry, type df /dev/sda6 <8> Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on <8> /dev/sda6 6124816 6094316 30500 100% /media/usbdisk <4> 100% <4> doesnt seem free to me <3> :P <8> but it also says 5 gigs free <8> 766 items, totalling 801.3 MB, free space totalling 29.8 MB <8> but in reality its 5 gigs free, it wont let me write a text file to it <10> do you have one entire partition on the disk, or multiple? <8> two, one is NTFS the other FAT32 <8> i have never had a problem with it, this just started the other day <8> if I can format it, I wouldnt midn doing that <8> i just unmounted it <10> Can you format it, or is it loaded with stuff you need? <8> i already backed it up, i can format it <10> then go ahead <8> i dont know how to do it in linux <8> i dont even know how to mount properly <10> How big is the disk? and what distro are you running? <8> 6 gigs, its ubuntu <10> oohhh.. any ubuntu guys here? I'm running mandriva :-) <10> or ubuntu ladies? <8> i hate ubuntu, im gonna install suse or something, but I still need to back up these files from this machine <8> thats the deal here <3> i use suse :P <8> i cant resize this hard drive can I? the ext2 one <10> www.mandriva.com <8> I have suse DVD <3> try it then.. <10> what do you mean resize? <8> i need to back up first, if i can resize this drive I can make a fat32 partition on it(my hard drive on this machine) <8> then I can backup to it and re-install, there is no dvd burner on here and the files are big <10> have you checked the ubuntu pages for formatting instruction? <8> they suggested i defrag the drive in #ubuntu <8> what do u think? <8> has anyone booted a computer off an ipod? <10> I'm not 100% sure this will work, and I haven't tried it myself. But try to download the Gparted LiveCD and boot from that one. It's a partition tool that let's you make changes to disks. Maybe it will find your usb drive, and then you can format it :-) <10> Very easy GUI too! <8> isnt there a format command in linux? <8> why do i need gparted? <10> http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php <10> so that you can format the disk <8> theres news! I unmounted the drive, plugged the hard drive back in, and now i can write to it <8> but it only reads as 30megs free when theres 5000megs free! <8> i ran a dosfsck /dev/sda1 -t -r <8> it returned dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN <8> Logical sector size is zero. <10> the only thing that I can come up with, is that your disk is screwed or your partitions are bad. <8> nope, my disk is fine, never had a problem with it <8> it works great in windows <8> i use it everday <10> Still I'd suggest formatting. But it's your choice <8> i can format downstairs in windows without having to install that live cd <8> i will try that <8> brb <10> forgottendru: it's a live cd, meaning you don't have to install anything. Just burn the ISO image and you're all set <8> yeh i still have to download and burn it, i will try this first, i am formatting it downstairs see what happens <10> if so, make the disk 100% fat32, and forget about the ntfs <8> not gonna happen <8> lets see what the result was <8> i think my drive is dying <8> LOL <8> i move it around too much, i need a solid state hard drive <10> that's the downside of usb things <8> yeh it took longer than normal to read, now it has been formatted its working fine! <8> thanks arve
