<0> that error about not being in sudoers... it only printed the first time i tried to sudo
<0> is sudo only supposed to print out errors/warnings like that one time?
<0> it said the sudo attempt was logged, but i don't see a log anywhere :\
<1> Root usually gets an e-mail.
<0> stuff prepended with % are variables?
<0> err
<0> aliases i mean
<0> ok
<0> i found the problem, heh
<0> is ubuntu setup to automatically remove more than one user from the admin group or something?
<0> i think it changed the name for admin group maybe and only added the first user added to /etc/p***wd
<0> i'm still in adm which i was thinking was the admin group
<0> but i can't sudo whereas i could before
<0> whoa, it's eff

<1> LinuxNoob: Does yast's man page say you can use it like that to install RPM's?
<2> i think so, to be fair i am not sure what i am doing lol. very new to linux
<2> Thanks for the reply mwilson
<1> You "think" so? Either it does, or it does not.
<2> ok i have no idea lol
<6> i dont think it does, much like apt, and yum dont
<6> LinuxNoob try rpm -Uvh filename.prm
<6> err filename.rpm
<2> i found the RPM on the SuSE insall CD
<1> So you figure making up command lines at random is a good tactic.
<7> is there anyway i can log "screen" ?
<2> good point guys this is the package i am tryign to install kdebase3-SuSE-10.0-21.i586.rpm
<7> or anyway just scroll up ?

<8> while in the man page reader.

<7> 2 hard 4 me
<8> romeo: then you will need help from someone who speaks the same language as you.

<8> Do you want to dump your scroll buffer to a text file? Or do you want to dump the man page for screen - to the text file?
<10> how i create a simple url in xml ?

<10> i want to introduc a sound in a php code
<4> so you're talking about XHTML then.
<4> you probably want either an EMBED or an OBJECT.
<4> read up on those two tags.
<10> ok i will go look about that thanks
<11> hi
<10> can you show me an exemple of executing a sound in a php code ?
<4> what the hell are you talking about?
<4> you don't "execute a sound" in PHP code.
<12> lol
<4> you either emit code which causes the client to fetch and play back a sound, you link to a sound, or you do something really screwy which you're not explaining.
<12> you mean a juke box in PHP?
<10> i want to execute that : http://u-corp.org/phpchat/src/1.swf
<12> lol
<10> i want to introducte that in my php code
<4> go smoke your crack somewhere else?
<10> uh
<4> if you want to embed that in your webpage, maybe you should look up how to embed flash in a webpage.
<12> which has nothing to do with PHP :)
<10> nah, i just want do a include("the-file");
<10> something like that
<10> ;/
<10> to do*
<13> i need help!!
<14> i dont
<13> help!
<13> can i ask for help?
<14> look at the chan name :p
<14> and his topic
<4> Lumafsck: eh?
<13> heh

<15> I have installed ClamAV on FC5
<4> wierd.. ok.
<13> it really ****s
<15> I installed it from RPMs
<13> i've spent alot of time on it
<15> and I couldnt find /usr/bin/clamd (or) /etc/clamd.conf
<15> can any one help me with that please ?
<4> Lumafsck: so it's not generating a valid PDF?
<4> have you taken a look at the file in a text editor?
<4> see if it has valid headers, etc?
<13> it is, but one slide from the ppt gives the error **** Unknown operator: '158.6m'
<13> something liek that
<13> everything is fine but one page of the pdf
<13> unrecognized token 158.6m
<4> wierd. sounds like a bug in OO.
<13> in acrobat
<13> the unknown operator one was from ghoscript
<4> try using ps?
<4> err, pdf2ps?
<13> it worked on the prior server
<4> well.... what changed?
<13> we are working with ppt first here
<13> i haven't idea
<13> its a migration i am helping with
<13> powerpoint to pdf
<4> hmm
<4> yeah, I really don't know.
<13> pdf to ps threw the same error
<13> damn gs is picky, at least acrobat still displayed it
<13> i really don't know either, after 10 horus
<13> what do you suggest though
<14> pdf2pdf
<13> is there anything else besides ooo on linux to do this conversion
<4> heh
<13> T`aZ: are you joking?
<4> evince will read powerpoint files.
<14> Lumafsck: not really
<14> Lumafsck: it will just rewrite the pdf file, maybe correctign some errors produced by ooo
<4> hmm... wonder if it is possible to script evince such that it produces postscript...
