<0> so what is the scheduling for the 2.0 version, have you thought about it yet?
<1> i was planning on moving to 2.0 as a revision when i finished reseller system, not sure when that will be finished :)
<1> with the dynamic nature its been a fairly big implimentation
<1> right now i've sidetracked to work on a webmail client that will work on the same basis as client or admin
<0> you are working on reseller system since 1.52 as i remember..
<1> a centralized webmail application that will work for any hosted domain
<2> imp?
<0> that's really good, because lots of people have problems installing webmail systems.
<1> nope custom built for gnuhh
<0> and even mta's
<0> indeed, shruging is a good thing to do.
<1> it will be tied into the db system of gnuhh for address book and some verification purposes so that only hosted domains can use the webmail app
<0> Redragon^: i bet that after you finish the webmail app you'll start netftp app
<1> i have lots and lots and lots of things i want to add
<0> :)

<0> a wish list :)
<1> right now i'm in a pinch cause my dev server hard drive is dieing
<0> bad sectors?
<1> old old drive dieing of old age :)
<0> :)
<0> what capacity ?
<1> 5gig
<1> actually i have a 2nd box for dev now but it needs a new drive too
<0> :)
<0> And you don't feel much like riding ..
<1> coffee time
<0> pill taking time.
<0> i caught a really crazy cold.
<3> ok, this is really phun.
<3> I can't force the media type on the Tulip card I have here.. wtf?
<3> ok, I can. I just ****, and the docs **** worse.
<3> oh yeah.
<3> does anyone know whether autonegotiation behaves itself on linux?
<3> longword: maybe you know something about this.
<4> wouldn't that depend partly on the driver and the NIC?
<5> careva online care ma poate ajuta si pe mine ??
<6> english
<5> themaxxz ... my english is not so good ...
<3> Fiver: yes, just ruling out a variable though.
<5> i have a problem on my server ...
<4> ah ok
<3> because server here misnegotiated a connection on the weekend.
<5> the comand tar ... is broken ... can you help me ?
<3> ... and because of this, stayed down for 2 days.
<4> ow :/
<5> themaxxz
<3> Fiver: yeah, I was pissed.
<3> Fiver: why would something misnegotiate like that?
<6> Cata19, broken how?
<0> Cata19: yes. init 0; fix tar works.
<0> wait 3 or 4 minutes and then try again.
<5> i don`t now ... :(
<0> Cata19: write this if you have root: init 0; fix tar
<6> well, the rule is, you first need to find out what is broken before you can fix it
<4> bronaugh: hard to say.. I've had trouble with certain NICs in the past, like netgear.. but since I switched to all Intel pro cards I haven't had a single issue. some switches and NICs don't seem to get along, but I've never gone deep enough to find out why.. just replaced the NIC (in my case that was quick and easy)
<6> sup bro?
<6> bronaugh, tulip card, using de4x5 driver or tulip?
<6> when I have trouble with them, changing driver usually works
<7> that w*** lame_ level_
<0> why is that?
<0> ArmOrAttAk: tell me. what does one romanian asking for tar help ( without any knowledges of linux ) do ?
<0> tell me he was not script kiddie.
<0> you see, i did not harm any system. i just shutdown "his" machine. if it's his.. then he could push the power button and boot it back up.
<0> if not.. whoops, kid.
<0> init 0 is better than him rm -rf'ing all the partitions, belive me.
<7> seems an ***umption he could've just been a new user
<0> ArmOrAttAk: a new user doesn't come and ask why tar isn't working.
<8> hi how i boot slackwarte using loadlin?
<8> *slackware:>
<0> if i did something wrong i would've been kicked by now by the online ops.
<0> ArmOrAttAk: if he was a new user he would've said that the system has shut down and asking for help again.
<0> but no, he saw that the machine halted and left... does a innocent/newbie user do that?
<3> themaxxz: tulip
<0> or remains on channel to ask for more help/info regarding the problem.
<3> themaxxz: I can walk around the building here with my laptop and have it autonegotiate or fail to autonegotiate depending on what port I'm plugged into

<7> nah he'll prolly label this channel as ***holes in his mind and not come back
<8> ?
<6> bronaugh, never had much luck with the tulip driver
<8> can u help me
<3> themaxxz: I find that "entertaining"
<0> heh.
<1> the idea level_ had isn't bad though level should have maybe asked what tar it was first /bonk
<3> themaxxz: so you think de4x5 would work better?
<0> Redragon^: he swore me on private window because i killed his psybnc.
<0> cool isn't it?
<6> bronaugh, yes
<0> after he parted, that is.
<6> oooh we missed that
<3> themaxxz: so what about the very variable autonegotation behaviour?
<7> that would've been funny to see
<0> ArmOrAttAk: why is that?
<9> say, changed my nick 1 minute ago?
<7> can you not think of any reasons?
<6> bronaugh, all I know is that I've seen funky stuff when using tulip driver, for network working one moment and stopped working the other
<3> themaxxz: ok. but laptop is realtek.
<0> phydoxx: nope.
<6> oh
<3> themaxxz: and I've seen this on both win and lin.
<9> level_, ok thanks
<0> ArmOrAttAk: well no. why should a "begginer" user swear if he could easily reboot. why did he use psybnc?
<3> themaxxz: nonetheless, I think I will figure out how to set de4x5 instead of tulip.
<0> you see, here i forgot to ask more info, that was my fault, but it turned up that he was a kid... so i think i'm even.
<6> bronaugh, de4x5 wont work with realtek chipset, if that is what you meant with laptop is realtek
<3> themaxxz: no no, meant switch driver on server, which is DEC 21140
<6> ah ok
<3> good/bad experiences with genuine DEC Tulips?
<6> bronaugh, working for compaq/hp for 7years, the lab is full with DEC nics
<1> well then he needed a squish
<3> (forcedeth fell over as soon as it saw load)
<10> Script kiddies ****.
<10> *coughs*
<3> so I plugged in old PCI NIC
<10> We've been having some problems with them lately...
<3> gcbirzan: in Romania? no...
<3> tell me it isn't so.
<0> hehe, still trying to overload the bandwidth trying to "hack" windows machines with that remote administrator ?
<6> btw, whats this cyber storm homeland is planning?
<10> bronaugh: Well, more than usually.
<0> what kind of problems gcbirzan ?
<10> DoSes against our routers.
<10> And against the network as a whole...
<3> gcbirzan: ouch.
<0> uhm.
<6> odd, why would anybody cut the branch they are sitting on
<3> themaxxz: natural selection, cutting themselves out of the pool.
<4> to get a little gold star in their hacker club..
<11> Boredom.
<3> Fiver: kind of like frying your own area code with a diesel generator eh.
<3> not that, of course, telcos aren't smart about that and have, you know, circuit breakers and fuses and transient suppression.
<9> kittenbot, i could play a young man who is looking for help in cyberspace
<4> heh
<11> ?
<9> when you are bored i mean
<4> I think kittenbot was saying the hackers were bored
<9> oh
<12> i did "yum install ethereal"
<4> congrats
<13> Hello
<12> "whereis ethereal" now shows two dirs
<12> but i cant find the executable
<13> I will install svn, how can I specify the installation folder? (using make).
<9> para psychologia, they say that people are getting destructive when they see no way to get attention the positive way
<4> Niteye: the executable isn't part of that package
<4> don't ask me why
<12> in which package is the executable then?
