<0> err
<1> aavar: depends on the fstype
<0> nm that last stuff i said
<0> i was looking for it in arch/<myarch>/boot
<2> lol, k
<3> Ext3... I checked out ext2resize but is there something with a UI ?
<1> aavar: try qtparted
<4> hahahaha I see Fiver
<4> I can see!
<3> Fiver, tnx
<1> synaptic: I told you to lay off the crack ;b
<4> Fiver: don't you know i never listen?
<4> aavar: why don't you use fdisk, clean and simple.
<4> backup first what you need.
<4> and bang!

<1> what was that bang?!
<4> Fiver: harddisk failure.
<3> synaptic, because I am going to format my root partition...
<3> ehh...
<4> aavar: well back it up.
<3> resize even...
<4> back it all up.
<4> fdisk it.
<4> it's more ... clean.
<3> yeah... but that means I have to reinstall my OS...
<4> i wonder if linux 2.0.40 will work with gcc-4.0
<4> Fiver: hands up!
<1> ...
<1> !aol synaptic
<4> damn it, it didn't kill me.
<4> Fiver: try harder.
<1> !ubercluebat synaptic
<5> ACTION *WHACKS* synaptic with the almighty UBERCLUEBAT. *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* *WHACK* ...
<6> haha
<4> damn it
<4> that hurt
<4> !bonk Fiver
<4> argh argh
<1> !lart synaptic
<4> argh matey
<4> open("/home/level/.gtkrc-1.2-gnome2", O_RDONLY) = 4
<4> --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
<4> doesn't that seem strance?
<4> Fiver: so what's all these rumours about redhat dropping fedora support
<4> it was posted yesterday on slashdot.
<7> MS will support *nix .... *COUGH*
<1> synaptic: it's not a rumor, but "dropping support" isn't quite accurate either http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060406-6535.html
<4> i'm already there.
<8> haha, yeah, if it was posted on slashdot it must be so!
<8> *cough* sorry, I'm not a slashdotter
<4> drops on fedora foundation
<6> you better read the original source of information here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2006-April/msg00016.html
<6> people who just whine "i wont have no fedora linux no more" wont understand much of it tho
<1> yeah we don't care about them anyway
<8> If nobody had said anything, 90% of the whiners might never have noticed :P
<1> if we're lucky, the whiners will just switch to another OS and stop being a pita
<1> we should tell them all OS/2 Warp is being revitalized ;b
<6> i never was a big fan of slashdot because of the drama caused by it
<6> but the article and responses about this government lamer who wanted to sue CentOS for his own stupidity was fun to read
<1> yeah, I rarely read it
<1> oh, I didn't see that one
<6> let me see if i find it
<1> I'm a centos user, so that might be a fun read
<8> It's fun, but a bit scary: How did he get elected/appointed?
<6> http://www.centos.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=127
<6> there :)
<1> thanks yalu :)
<6> as addition: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/03/27/tuttle_email/
<6> :)
<9> Hello
<9> Can someone help me install drivers for my ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128MB 8x AGP video card under SUSE 10?
<10> phenom: There are directions on the Suse site...it's incredibly easy though

<9> reality, Thank you. I Believe I have them installed yet I cannot activate the 3D hardware acceleration
<10> phenom: There's a command for sax2...if I recall correctly, it's sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx
<10> So that after killing gdm
<10> or kdm or xdm
<10> It's all in the documents for the rpm you generated when you installed the driver.
<9> reality, I've got that Sax2 command noted down, should I drop X to enter it?
<10> phenom: Yeah, killing gdm will kill X...
<11> hey spale
<0> UNLESS!
<0> ...j/k
<0> :D
<0> hi
<12> hiya
<12> no topic
<12> Any qmail experts here? I want my qmail to stop sending bounces, for anything :/
<0> erm
<0> we have a policy not to help you
<0> until you tell us htf you got that hostname
<0> are you an ircop?
<12> It starts to get annoying that when people sent me mail with a virus, say, to an address that doesn't exist here - and with a forged From: line, then my daemon bounces the virus attachment in an error message to that From line :/
<13> run use something a tad more modern that will bounce the email during the connection and not back to the "sender"
<1> !qmail
<5> qmail is probably written by an insufferably arrogant swine who is under the conceited belief that his software is perfect, and refuses to update/maintain it, or even acknowledge buggy behaviour in it. its also illegal to distribute modified binaries.
<0> dammit
<0> stop violating my policy!@#!
<1> yeah, let's violate sinthetek instead of his policy :)
<12> Redb3ard: I am already doing something like that... I use spamd and some self-written program that checks if a username exists, before p***ing it on.
<0> hahaha
<12> sinthetek: I can't help it that you don't know me.
<4> Fiver: i didn't know you were bi***ual.
<0> gotta buy me a drink first ;)
<13> Run thats not something you should be doing, its something that your mail server should automatically be doing
<4> now comes the redirection to sendmail :)
<13> some examples Run are sendmail using clamav-milter and spam***-milter (procmail way ****s really), or postfix with amavisd
<14> anyone who could help me on debian?
<0> Run: sure ya could... you could start by answering my questions :P
<1> synaptic: You don't have to be bi***ual to violate someone. You don't, in fact, ever have to come in direct contact with them. :)
<12> Redb3ard: It cannot do that, because this is (on) the firewall, who normally just p***ed all mail on to my real machine. However, it also adds an X-Spam header (checks mails for spam). If I p*** on every *@my.domain, then it turns out that soon I have to handle a whole dictionary at the place of the star, and my firewall starts using 100% because of checking all the spam.
<0> but i respect your right to privacy and will stop buggin' ya
<12> sorry, Redragon^
<13> run then your doing something else wrong
<13> Run if its your firewall (mx2) that p***es back to mx1 (inside firewall) then your mta should be configured as a secondary mx, not a forwarding primary mx
<12> I don't get that - the mta being mx2?
<13> okay if you setup an MTA as a mail server it accepts the mail and delivers it to mailboxes
<13> if you setup an MTA as a secondary mail server it simply spools the mail then sends it to the primary mail server for delivery skipping the whole local delivery process (including procmail)
<12> Redragon^: It's can't do that - there are no mailboxes on my firewall machine.
<12> yes
<12> But, I DO want it to add an X-spam header (with spam******in)
<13> even if its not delivering it locally your using something to forward it, otherwise you wouldn't need to define *@domain
<12> I don't want my real box be bothered with checking spam.
<13> i dont think what your going for can be accomplished with qmail
<12> I am doing it
<12> Have been for years
<13> i'm talking about the changes your trying to inact
<12> That, I'd agree on... but since this is on linux - it is unacceptable :)
<12> In the end I might have to patch qmail - so be it.
<15> Run! ltns :)
<12> Hi dreamd
<13> i think everyone around here gave up qmail years ago for more modern tech
<6> Run, the cyber world needs your help. please /clearchan #linux for network abuse
<6> thanks.
<12> Redb3ard: Not meaning sendmail I hope?
<12> damn
<0> i'm gonna switch to exim soon i think
<12> Redragon^: test
<13> well sendmail is better than qmail as far as tech goes, but many have gone to postfix
<12> ok, four characters then :p
<12> Hmm, I moved from sendmail to qmail years ago because it was more secure.
<13> well other than the occ***ional bug (which happens to all things) sendmail is quite secure
<13> there was a recent incident that required an upgrade but its the first one in a very long time
