<0> Right. Time I went.
<1> 8) and I need some food!
<2> This is so cool. GooglePlex in Mountain View has a ball pool (like you just to go in when you were a kid..) with only blue, red, yellow and green balls in it. :)
<3> anyone here can help me about pcmcia or pcic problem during boot up?
<3> anyone pls?
<3> =(
<4> int3rrupt21h: you should probably spell your words and just ask a question.
<3> that's what it says during boot up
<3> pcmcia or pcic
<4> uh huh.
<3> i think there's something to do with the video cards
<3> onboard ang agp conflicting or just drivers
<4> !? unlikely/impossible to be drivers if it's during bootup, and if it's a pcmcia error it's unlikely to be anything to do with video. you need to read the entire error message and use Google and/or intelligent questions to figure out what it means and how to solve it.
<5> Hey Cynic :)

<4> hey Pizbit
<4> howsit hangin'
<5> Sorta ok I guess heh.
<3> it says there.. no drivers found
<5> New graphics card is bloody huge, cpu came without HSF(chasing that up, seem to have given them a fright- friend has one I can borrow for now)
<5> Everything else bar RAM has arrived(RAM was ordered a few days later that the rest).
<5> int3rrupt21h: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Read this before asking any more questions.
<5> Cynic: How's life in your neck of the woods?
<3> thanks Pizbit
<4> busy. i should be finishing something off right now. but i can not be arsed. can NOT.. be arsed.
<5> Haha
<5> Cynic: Stressed?
<4> nah, not anywhere near as much as I was last week.
<2> Cynic: If in doubt, add more gerbils.
<5> That's good, hope it works out.
<2> You NEVER have enough Gerbils.
<4> that's true. so true.
<5> Haha
<5> Evii: ARMAGEDDON
<5> (If you don't get that I'll look for the mp3 on the net about it.)
<6> wow
<6> i can't believe its fricking thursday already
<6> this week went fast
<5> Heh
<5> Firday tomorrow
<6> yeap
<2> There weren't any where near enough gerbils in Armageddon. That's why he had to nuke himself.
<6> found a way to get my god damnned tv ove rhere too
<5> Half day of work tomorrow we reckon
<4> yay for Fridays.
<4> docfu: my week has been really fast too
<4> too much $stuff_to_do
<7> hi *
<8> docfu: Isn't electronics supposed to be dirt-cheap over there anyway ;)
<9> heya
<1> hi!
<9> just read your blog post :)
<1> 8) ****y eh?
<1> however it's fixed.
<9> yeah, I was here when you told about it :)
<5> yoz: What broke?
<1> Pizbit: my laptop ;)
<5> Eek
<5> Erm, instead of me asking questions, is your blog public? Heh.
<1> Pizbit: sabin.yourblog.in ;)
<5> *sigh* the internet age we live in "I don't want to talk to you, just show me your blog."
<1> K_F: btw.. lemme show you a screenshot of firefox on that blog.. strange error here.
<1> Pizbit: haha
<9> yoz: sure..
<1> K_F: http://storage.debians.org/ff.png
<9> interesting
<9> I don't have that here, I wonder if it is the ad that is too wide
<1> K_F: no idea.. I figured it's in linux only though!
<1> K_F: firefox in XP seems to display it quite fine.
<5> FF on XP displays it fine for me.
<9> yoz: font-size related maybe... try ctrl++
<1> K_F: ctrl + - did it..

<1> K_F: need to add some fonts it as well.. maybe it gets fixed then.
<9> probably
<9> I won't bother fixing it anyways, if it keeps up use another theme :)
<1> yeah. I like that best though! ;)
<10> yay. my bug got fixed :D Bug#350306: fixed in e2fsprogs 1.38+1.39-WIP-2006.03.29-1
<9> .... and it was about?
<5> Hehe http://theinquirer.net/?article=30640
<10> author changed fsck so that if you were on 'battery power' it would not fsck the drive due to exceeding the maximum number of mounts
<10> my bios is broken, apm says my tower is always on battery power ;)
<9> Pizbit: 41 as well :)
<10> didn't help that there's no error message or anything of the sort, fsck always just said "check on next mount"
<7> RelDrgn: so the feature got reverted?
<7> (or misfeature)
<5> K_F: Hehe, good innit?
<9> Pizbit: hehe, jup. http://theinquirer.net/?article=30641 was fun as well
<5> K_F: /me figured your number out:)
<9> hehe
<10> mod-: no, now it's documented, and an option to disable it added, and the message actually says whats going on ;P
<10> mod-: at least if the email the guy sent me is correct :P
<5> o_O
<5> Unplugged my arial and packed it into a box so I can't find out from the news.
<2> Hmm. Time for some AC/DC I think. :)
<1> Pizbit: that's not a problem.. if someone owns 100000 domains! ;)
<5> Lol
<5> yoz: s/new/news :D
<5> yoz: Waiting to see if Sky TV(one of the biggest providers of digial tv) has screwed up big time.
<5> This should give you an idea: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=52360702
<1> 8) /me checks
<7> RelDrgn: ah, *nod*
<9> Pizbit: it crashed or something?
<5> Dunno yet
<5> I asked on a forum for someone to watch the news and fill us in.
<11> Pizbit: Apparently some routine maintenance pointed the satellite to the wrong place
<5> Buahaha
<11> @ 21:15 the word was that it would be back up within 3 hours
<5> So it's not dead? Damn.
<5> Sleep time methinks, night!
<12> hey
<2> You'd think after 10 years of devel, The Gimp wouldn't **** so ****ing much.
<13> heh
<13> The gimp doesnt ****. only its user interface :P
<7> Evii: why do you say that it ****s?
<9> most complaints I've heard are related to the lack of consistensy
<14> No wait, it's user interface doesn't ****... only it's users
<2> mod-: Just doing the most simple things is completely hideous.
<13> which is why I like photoshop
<9> I get what I want done in the gimp
<7> K_F: same here, and quite easily might i add
<14> you can do everything in the gimp that's simple rather easily.
<7> that said, UIs are best judged by those who are having issues with them, not by those who don't
<14> it's not the same as photoshop, but it shouldn't be either.
<2> This isn't a case of simplicity. It's the damn U. The layer handling UI is just annoys the hell out of me.
<12> ****
<2> er, s/U/UI/
<2> Amongst other things.
<14> what's wrong with the layer handling?
<2> Floating pasted layers for starters. So bloody annoying when they don't sit on their layer properly.
<15> i want to delete my file using shell.
<15> what's the command
<15> please
<16> zicetimi si mie cum trimit mail din root
<17> Danii20: Go away.
<17> j4l4ni: rm
<15> ahmm
<15> rm?
<15> even it's directory ?
<17> j4l4ni: Yes, even if it's a directory. You just have to ask it nicely.
<17> type 'man rm', read and be enlightened.
<15> ah ic.
<18> integrated ciruit?
<15> thanks.
<18> circuit even.
<2> Then it annoys me how that you can link multiple layers together but can't shift cross linked layer content in one move. Or if you can, it's not obvious enough.
