<0> xpi : Please go to http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html , and pay careful attention to the suggestions there. It'll improve your chances of getting a useful answer.
<1> wlfshmn: On this map here, it's only 5cm :)
<2> Tron++
<3> Coma: ;)
<0> I should change "It'll improve your chances of getting a useful answer." to "It'll improve our chances of not being pissed off at you."
<4> Tron: you overstressed him ;)
<3> Coma: map tells me 700km, and that is if I manage to fly ;)
<1> wlfshmn: Um, wouldn't 700km put you on the other end of the country?
<3> Coma: 960km if I drive
<3> Coma: 700 puts me where I think you live, approximatley
<4> wlfshmn: you from .se?
<3> Coma: Somewhere nearish to Hoorn, righT?
<3> yoz: yupp
<1> wlfshmn: 15km to the right and you're there

<4> wlfshmn: that explains the inet prices.
<3> Coma: close enough ;)
<3> Coma: I see Hoorn, Enkuizen, Hoogkarspel and lot of farmland
<1> wlfshmn: It's actually closer to Enkhuizen than Hoorn
<3> but I suppose that describe most of .nl
<3> hey.. Grootebroek rings a bell
<1> Ah, no, we've got some cities too
<1> wlfshmn: That's where I'm at alright
<0> Hehehe
<1> lol
<3> not highres enoguh for that I'm afriad
<1> Yeah, they really need to update this area imho
<2> my area hasn't been upated since 2001 or so
<3> Coma: my area is lowres ;)
<3> Coma: ...
<5> damn this font looks butt ugly
<1> wlfshmn: A matter of keep buying new ones and not returning the empty ones ;)
<3> Just look at all the detail: 57'53.07"N, 11'11.46"E
<3> Coma: I thought your local kids would come and steal them ;)
<1> They wouldn't dare
<1> But you can't, I have a firewall!
<6> Coma: Didn't you watch the movie Swordfish? You can just Pop the firewall!
<7> lol
<4> p***word: swordfish
<8> Falchion: but you need a computer that can be on 9 nets at the same time!
<2> I just visualize the code
<8> hacking is really just like playing tetris
<8> only silly people write code
<1> And you need several, akwardly placed lcds
<3> ah. only 10 years old.. yay for updated software
<6> Jostein: Yeah, I'm stuck with Internet 1. I wanna be on 2-9 as well :<
<3> Falchion: 6 is where all the good pr0n is
<6> wlfshmn: I know. All I
<6> 'm stuck with is pics of dogbert2's mom here on 1:<
<3> Falchion: Good grief man. You need to update before you go blind!
<6> wlfshmn: I know, I know. :/
<6> Hmm, now to figure out how the **** to re-install debian when I don't have a monitor for that machine...
<0> Falchion: *fwap* You should know a debian install off by heart by now!
<6> I'm not that good :}
<6> Would be nice though. Well, i guess I can just bring it back into the office on Tuesday and install it there. Or I can go to CircuitCity, buy a monitor and then return it the next day
<2> Jostein: have fun
<8> will do!

<10> re
<11> anyone here have seated a CCNA exam? how many items?
<4> ngine: 4
<9> ngine: I think you should ask tavi-san about that... :)
<11> yoz: four only?
<4> ngine: *nod* but only is relative.
<10> brb

<11> hmm.. like Linux+, between 50 to 60 items
<4> ngine: it's enough.. trust me.
<11> Its hard to believe man
<4> ngine: each module contains like 12 parts.
<11> 4 items only?
<11> no, i mean the real exam
<4> ngine: ah.
<11> i know what your talking about.
<11> 4 modules
<4> ngine: I get your point now.
<4> didn't have the exam yet.. so tavi-san should know that
<11> hmm.. thanks yoz
<11> !seen tavi-san
<4> what a host.
<12> heh
<13> Hey there, I'm having problems running LAME as a cron job. After it's been encoding about 40-50 seconds of mp3, it terminates silently. I suspect that it runs out of memory, but could that be it?
<14> highly unlikely
<13> Hmm, I really can't figure out why it does this.. It works fine when i run if from the console :-/
<14> hm... does it produce a lot of output when you run it on the console?
<14> like, constantly updating information and the like?
<13> Yeah, actually. It outputs info about how many frames it's encoded and such
<13> Updating about every second
<14> try making it more quiet and see what happens
<15> mod-: you thinking broken pipe?
<14> maybe cron has some limit on that
<13> good idea, I'll try that
<14> Ka-bar: not sure what it could be really, but it's worth a try
<15> *nod*
<15> Hmmm... you know, I get some pretty damned big emails from cron when LogWatch runs nightly... sometimes upwards of 200K-300K, depending on how vigorously I'm being attacked...
<14> i know
<14> could be a line size limit or something (considering that lame probably prints a lot of CRs with no NL)
<15> ah
<15> *nod*
<16> does anyone know if a linksys wired/wireless routers "logging" function will puts out packet data to see what is being p***ed through?
<15> Stock, I don't think so. but there are alternative firmware packages you can put on a linksys that may have something like that.
<13> mod-, That sounds probable.. It's running now, with a --silent parameter
<15> you can run linux on your stinksys, and do pretty much anything you want, within it's rather small memory limits
<16> yeah there is an alternate firmware with snort installed
<15> there ya go...
<10> Steakk
<13> Hmm, it could encode a 1:30 long file this time, which is way longer than usual. I actually think that did the trick! Thanks a lot :)
<14> you're welcome
<17> hello, does anyone know how to simulate something INCOMING on serial port?!?
<17> sending something to serial port?
<13> I dunno, I'm no expert, but couldn't you just cat something > /dev/-serial-port-device-
<17> yea, i can cat
<13> Oh, wait, that'd be outcoming :)
<17> i want to type something into /dev/serialport
<17> :(
<17> ops
<18> you had better learn to spell before getting kicked for op-begging.
<6> heh
<9> anyone in here have seen the asus v2-ph1 barebone?
<3> I never saw the point of barebones for standardized platforms
<4> *yawn*
<2> hehe
<2> tell me about it..
<2> utterly bored myself
<4> bad part... I didn't study anything
<2> very little here as well
<2> I ended up writing a bash script to generate statistics for my m*** virtual hosts
<4> heh
<9> seems that everybody's bored :)
<4> heh yeah.
<9> pff... now I'm waiting for $bosses to get the hell out of the office so I can leave too :)
<19> does debian sarge 3.1 r2 still use XFree86 or Xorg?
<20> hey room
<20> any linux experts in here ?
<4> no.. we sell blue carpets
<15> room? I don't see any room here?
