<0> siglite: I know, I know... I'll be over it tomorrow.
<1> jgaddis: especially if you get laid tonight.
<0> It's just fun to think about right now.
<0> Okay, I feel better now.
<2> jgaddis: I finally finished our project. I feel good. time to hit the pub :)
<0> cappicard: Sweet! Finished, or finished and tested? =)
<2> finished debugging it
<2> now for the final touchups and adjusting the language on it
<2> but not until monday
<2> for some reason, I got and justice for all stuck in my head...
<0> I can go hang out with Bill.
<0> siglite: I turned down that position, by the way.
<1> jgaddis: really? any particular reason?

<0> siglite: By the time it went through HR and I got an "official" offer, they dropped the salary by $10k. I still was going to accept, but my Chancellor offered to "recl***ify" me position so that I'd get the same benefits and also bumped my salary up considerably. In the end, I could either take that position or stay where I'm at for $10k less than what they offered. Once I considered all the "non-tangibles", I decided it was in my best interest to stay.
<1> jgaddis: yeah, I had the same thing happen.
<1> jgaddis: I had a job offer at lurhq, which woulda been ****ing leet
<0> I'm getting a new office, more benefits (more vacation/sick time, more retirement, etc.) and I honestly have it really ****in' good where I'm at.
<1> jgaddis: but my current job countered, and given those "intangibles," I stayed put.
<0> I pretty much come in and leave whenever I want and work from home whenever I want, $boss doesn't care as long I put in an honest 40 hours.
<0> siglite: Wow, that'd be cool. The intangibles is what made the difference for me.
<1> lurhq is damned leet. every now and then I wonder if I made the right choice. But I think I did.
<0> *nod* I'll probably be wondering the same thing, too, but I'm convinced I did what's best for me. **** trying to please everyone else.
<3> siglite: you did
<3> siglite: it is a nice platform
<4> elfy?
<0> Hey J-F
<4> Jwho?
<0> "TOWEL HEADS: Recently I received a warning about the use of this politically incorrect term, so please note: We all need to be more sensitive in our choice of words. I have been informed that the Islamic terrorists, who hate our guts and want to kill us, do not like to be called 'Towel Heads' since the item they wear on their heads is not actually a towel, but is, in fact, a small folded sheet. Therefore, from this point forward, please refer to them as 'L
<4> `L?
<5> "[...] please refer to them as 'L"
<6> L
<6> thats great
<0> 'Little Sheet Heads'
<0> sorry
<4> ahhh
<6> *I don't get it*

<0> Liandrin: If I'm bored one day at work I'll try it.
<5> yes, I finally got so bored I'm washing -and- drying dishes
<11> break out the hair dryer instead of the towel to do the drying
<5> return -ENOENT;
