<7> The main problem I had was in the script to execute Xgl. I had to add a sleep 6 line to it in order for Xgl to actually start up completely first and then execute compiz

<13> well, g3 800 takes a bit of time with gentoo, but it isn't too much imo. so dual p3 600 should be okay
