<2> lol k Ka-bar thanx
<3> use English if you're going to stay.
<4> heya Ka-bar
<3> yo ksh
<4> How's it going?
<3> work is crazy, but that's good.
<4> Cool
<4> Work was busy for me today, too

<3> one of our managers gave notice today, so it's going to get even crazier. probably going to be some overtime in it for me the next couple of weeks. :)
<4> That part doesn't sound exciting
<4> Unless it means it's time for a promotion
<3> I'm a contractor. I get paid by the hour. :)
<4> Oh, that's not so bad either
<4> I get paid by the hour too, if you look at it that way. It just so happens that every hour I put in reduces my hourly rate.
<3> hahaha
<3> well, the OT will be welcome since I've been out sick a couple days recently. Gives me a chance to catch up.
<4> Yeah, I haer that
<5> is there a localized resource for linux drivers?
<3> Dingolan: try google or #linuxhelp. this isn't a help channel.
<6> someone was mentioning dynamips the other day...cool product
<6> hey jgaddis

<9> hi guys
<9> I have a question, is it possible to use open() on a unix socket?
<10> What would Holmes do?
<9> ask watson?
<10> Not Sherlock Holmes...
<10> ...John Holmes!
<9> who's that?
<10> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Holmes_(actor)
<9> i see
<9> what do you think he'd do?
<10> I think he would ask Linus Torvalds by visiting his office, where his secretary would greet him and take him to the photocopy room to help her load some paper.
<10> ...he would proceed to load several reams of paper, pounding them into the paper drawers... all 11 inches of paper...
<11> hy all
<9> you're really funny
<11> hy coma
<10> Not really. I just try to think I am.
<10> However, it's to cover the fact that I am incapable of helping you with your function call dilema.
<10> I am also incapable of spelling dilema.
<9> lol
<9> undernet is as dead as ever i se
<9> see#
<12> Wow, it's a cheeksy.
<9> is steg still around?
<9> laters guys
<13> heya
<13> anyone alive?
<14> yep
<14> hello
<15> Anna nicole isn't however.
<13> lol
<6> hehehe
<13> hehehe
<15> Did you have a linux related question?
<14> soooooo many holes with dead bodies....
<13> nope
<16> Anyone know why vsftpd might not chroot users? Ive updated the config file and restarted the server, but I can still break out of the homedir
<17> LordLucle: make sure you're using the config file right? Also make sure the chroot stuff works the way you think it works. A lot of implementations expect you to configure the user's homedir to be /home/./username where the /./ marks the chroot.
<16> RelDrgn: Ta
<18> Rel

<17> in other words, i've never used vsftp, read the docs :P
<17> evening, Nanuq
<16> I think I found the problem, it was to do with the interaction with chroot_local_user and chroot_list_enable
<18> RelDrgn: how are we?
<17> we are sleepy
<17> started working out a week ago. people who say you feel better after exercising are liars
<18> RelDrgn: haha. what sort?
<12> dogbert2: Glad you like it. =D
<18> shiwan!
<12> Nanuq!
<6> shiwan, i'd LIKE it more, if I could get the f***ing thing to work...I keep getting an error on startup at command prompt
<12> dogbert2: What error?
<6> winxp pro, sp2, winpcap 4.0 (final)...status_integer_divide_by_zero
<12> dogbert2: Check the forums at 7200emu.hacki.at.
<6> I did...no help
<12> Hmm.
<6> what do you run it on, XP or Linux?
<12> dogbert2: Nothing currently; but I'll be running it on Solaris 10/x64 once my hardware arrives.
<6> ahhhh
<6> I posted a message in the forum, we'll see what comes up
<18> RelDrgn: *poek*
<0> Hmmm...compiz and beryl got some problems with Xgl in the latest versions
<0> Sheesh. I think Ubuntu just needs to get rid of ipv6 for now

<19> Nanuq
<21> OldMonk, Emerson, Nanuq
<19> cheeksy
<21> i have a bloody headache from apartment hunt
<18> cheeksy: looking for a place with working hot water?
<22> Does the latest Ubuntu have something built-in to the install for resizing an NTFS partition, or do I have to do that prior to the installation?
<19> Zymurgy
<23> hola OldMonk
<19> doesn't it have gparted?
<22> Damn, apparently I'm running a freakin' Linux mirror on my laptop.
<18> Zym!
<18> Zymurgy: you missed the old unix farts meeting ;)
<23> s/ISO images/pr0n/ - s/24GB/24TB/ ;-)
<23> Nanuq: oh yeah? where abouts?
<18> Zymurgy: 280 Metcalfe
<18> Zymurgy: was at 18:00 this evening
<23> what was going on? or just you and Tama?
<23> yeah, would have missed it even if I knew about it - was at work
<18> Zymurgy: OCUUG meet. Virtually all BSDites, with one QNXer
<23> oh, sorry, though you typed 1000 this morning
<23> geesh, damn eyes
<18> Zymurgy: minus Sean, the winders weenie ;)
<23> yeah, I haven't been to an OCLUG in about 15 years - think it's changed much? :)
<18> Zymurgy: well he won't be there next month, but I'll see about it
<18> Zymurgy: OCUUG
<23> can't freakin' read tonight apparently :)
<18> Zymurgy: heh
<18> Zymurgy: second Thursday of the month
<23> Nanuq: so what were the hilights?
<18> Zymurgy: not much. just shootin' the breeze.
<21> Zymurgy: time to purchase gl***es...
<21> Nanuq: i am looking for A place.
<18> Zymurgy: flightsims were on the menu ;)
<23> yeah, bunch of stuff I've wanted to get back into since I got back - the LUG, the ham clubs...
<18> cheeksy: Move in with me. ;)
<18> Zymurgy: Number of hams there too.
<22> I tried to get back into ham, but it just doesn't interest me anymore.
<18> cheeksy: and what's wrong with where y'at?
<23> cheeksy: I have gl***es - unfortumately I'm running the IRC client on my old CRT, not my swanky new 22" widescreen LCD :)
<23> so gl***es or not wouldn't matter much :)
<18> jlgaddis: Not when Skype is that much more.. reliable, etc.
<18> jlgaddis: 802.11 + Skype ;)
