<7> actually, it's a whole lot simpler than people make it to be. For all the library stuff, use the distribution's packages. Then build anything they dont have against their libraries, and you wont have to deal with incompatibilities

<8> the most common mistake with virtual hosts is people trying to make an aditional vhost instead of the common configuration. Which, IMO, is a display of ignoring the documentation.
