<0> Death is for cowards. Real men kick ***. Anyway. Fedora won't let me upgrade. <1> yoz: sky. <2> ksh: ok. <2> bushidohacks: ****s. <1> yoz: yes. <3> bushidohacks: As was said, kill yourself. <0> First Fedora wouldn't let me use KDE. So for the past few months I've had to use Gnome <4> who can help me to set up a virtual host <4> please <2> dutedute: gogo <2> dutedute != vinovino <4> lol <2> dutedute: you know what.. rather get lost! <0> Then every time I tried to upgrade my system using yumex there would be abou 600 MB of stuff that I need to download but cant <3> bushidohacks: Are we supposed to care? <0> I could I checked what I needed but the Gnome screen saver crashed the damn thing
<1> I sure hope not <4> what you do here <2> don't you have something better to do? <1> No, he doesn't <2> dutedute: could you stop using my nick in <>! <2> and no.. I don't! ;-) <4> i will stop talking to you <0> Using just about any escape key I know the screensaver would not quit. The p***word protection was off because this was the thrid time my computer tried to commit suicide <2> dutedute: oh that hurts.. :/ please don't stop talking to me! <4> can anyone help me to set up a virtual host <2> no. <1> dutedute: no <5> hi all <2> vIkSiT: ey there ;) <5> heya yoz :) howdy <0> Then when all other methods of stoping that program would not stop, I had to restart. I can't log in anyomore. I'm using the rescue disc and I can't boot up anything I need to retrieve what I need <0> Then here is the real kicker. FC5 doesn't install X <2> we still don't care.. <2> do we? <0> So I'm stuck using another computer that I have that is really old and really slow looking for someone who could help me resolve the problem because FC5 is a piece of **** <0> what do I do now? <2> bushidohacks! <6> bushidohacks: try a different distribution? <0> I'm cosidering it. But I really want to find a distro that still uses RPMs, because those are easy to install and I'm still getting used to using make to make things from the source <2> omg! <0> I can compile my own programs, I'm just timid to using make <2> for sure. <0> Don't say debian! <2> bushidohacks: Debian! <1> there's not hard about using make <1> ./configure; make; make install; <1> very easy <0> what about upgrades or conflicts? <2> none. <2> bushidohacks: in case you use it right. <7> hah. <4> can anyone help me to set up a virtual host <4> i tried to putt the link in httpd.conf at VirtualHost section, but doesn't work <8> dutedute: check the Apache docs. <4> where are those? <2> dutedute: that's quite well documented! <8> dutedute: the apache website. <4> ok <7> actually, it's a whole lot simpler than people make it to be. For all the library stuff, use the distribution's packages. Then build anything they dont have against their libraries, and you wont have to deal with incompatibilities <2> to stupid to google so seems.. <2> s/o/oo <8> www.apache.org/docs/ <7> keep the source to what you build, and when the distribution upgrades the libraries, go around and recompile the apps (by then theres probably a new version anyway) <8> the most common mistake with virtual hosts is people trying to make an aditional vhost instead of the common configuration. Which, IMO, is a display of ignoring the documentation. <0> so is there any way to unfubar myself atleast? <9> question on firewall, anyone ?? <8> robotto: no thanks, we're covered. <9> huh? <9> i have a question matey! <10> hey i have a question <8> robotto: then try asking, but make sure to RTFM first. <10> can anyone help me ?
<8> Ginny: how the **** should we know? <10> ;-) <9> RTFM? <10> how i can close firewall ? <8> Ginny: by reading the manual. <9> comedy show <8> robotto: Read The ****ing Manual. <10> aha...thx alot for nothing <8> Ginny: you're welcome, goodbye. <9> hahhahahaha, stupid *** <9> must be from usa <8> well, and that coveres the idiots for the evening. <11> I wouldn't bet on it <6> is it just me, or is "Humble, TX" an oxymoron? <7> Strider-: I think it was more like wishful thinking <6> lol <7> of course, its up the street from Houston, so relatively speaking ;) <6> heh <6> I'll be down there on monday. <7> hm, if you find a mexican restaurant tucked in next to a porn shop and a nightclub, do NOT eat there. <7> the name has already been wiped from my mind <12> Rel, Hans <12> Lion-O <7> afternoon. Nanuq <0> do they serve tacos? <8> eya Nanuq / RelDrgn / Strider- <7> bushidohacks: probably, I had tasteless enchiladas, undercooked rice, and dried refried beans. Their queso had the consistency and taste of water dyed yellow. <0> orly? <6> RelDrgn: hehe <7> ya rly <12> Mmm.. Strubbs <6> I've always had a fun time taking the soldiers out to lunch on my gigs.. <0> It couldn't be any worse than that "warm queso" at chilis that taste like **** <12> er, Strubs :P <0> come to think of it, It probably IS **** <12> bushidohacks: and you sample **** often? <13> O.o <12> Steakk <6> so the question is.. to I take my p***port with me or not. <6> probalby should. <13> Eric :) <0> no, this was the first and the LAST time I'd ever sample **** <13> even though I am on the verge of eviction <6> i'm growing my collection of stamps. <12> Strider-: I take mine if I'm travelling anywhere out the city <12> if it were more convient, I'd take it everywhere <11> were off out laters <12> er convenient <12> Steakk: y'are? <6> I only take mine if I have to... the stamps in it caues questions. <13> are what? happy? or on verge of eviction? <13> well, answer is both <13> :P <12> Steakk: both <6> though I could always test the theory at the US border. <6> this isgoing to be on farke dup trip though.. <12> Strider-: London isn't all that unusual, so.. ;) <13> I am happy because I just got a call from one of my contractors that has stated that every client they have sent me to has been more than happy with my work, and are practically requesting that I be their tech from here on out <6> i'm Canadian, going to Dallas for work, my roommate is dual Canada/US, going down to his house, and I've got stamps from Kuwait in mine, a Tanzanian Visa, and he's got mexican visa in his p***port <12> well, .uk <13> and said contractor has just gave me another job for tuesday <6> well, I suppose the mexican thing depends on whether he travles as a Canadian or American. <12> Steakk: groovy. <13> damn right <12> Steakk: and the eviction? <13> net30 cycle isnt complete yet...waiting on invoices to be paid <12> wow, I can get a 20 litre pail of pickles <3> Nanuq: ... <14> Strider-: Wouldn't you carry both p***ports and show the p***port native to the immigration officer that asks for it? <1> hi <3> Very. <1> WTF are you doing?!?! <15> i can tell you what he's NOT doing. being useful.
