<17> Question: I am trying to upgrade my version of GNU make from 3.77 to 3.81 and i configure, make, and make install it but when i type make -v it still says version 3.77. why isnt it being changed? can i first uninstall the old gmake and then install the new one? would that help and if so how would i do that?
