<0> hi <0> i have a ipcop server with 2 apache server i want send a web site to the first apache and a second website to the second apache server <0> how i can do <0> please help me <1> i am just getting into the command line info :) <2> i love LVM <2> LVM2 to be precise <3> heh <4> anyone awake? <5> dogbert2: no <3> no one here but us chickens <4> heh...is it possible in apache to load/unload modules while it is running (i'm having a brain fart here) <4> looks like graceful would do what I want to do... <6> i think a graceful restart is necessary, yeah.. <7> db4 yeah, you have to apachectl restart
<7> or /etc/init.d/apache restart <6> Steakk: apachectl graceful <4> yeah, if I wanted to re-read httpd.conf (which would include adding or subtracting modules)... <6> restart is cruel to poor users! ;) <4> okz...:) <7> Cynic, oh, didnt know there was a `gracefull` <6> Steakk: waits for all open connections to close first, that's the only difference <4> ayup... <7> ahh <4> however, if there is an error in httpd.conf, it won't restart at all :) <8> Hrm. Who's the actual source of this MM_preloadimages() javascript I see everywhere (with version numbers, no less, but never a link)? <4> that's wierd... <8> oi dogbert2. Long time no see. <6> http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_13966 <6> hey ThomasM. <8> oi Cynic <8> I'm working on it. <6> btw, that above link was for you ThomasM <8> Cynic: I'd read that one, but guess I hadn't looked closely enough. It's Dreamweaver code then? <6> looks like it <7> now THIS is what I hate... rebooting my VPS <6> In this case, the function MM_preloadImages is declared so that it can be called upon later in the HTML file. The variable for the image files (imgFiles) is set to MM_preloadImages.arguments which calls up the array which will be found later in the HTML file. This function is an example of modular code that can be used in conjunction with a separate call to run the function and the array as well. <4> gah...no more pocky :( <8> Cynic: Got it working, but I tossed out the logs and it has no content to do its fancy with. <9> meep! <8> Meh. All logs have been thrown out. I'll have to lurk for a day or two to get back up to odd tidbit speed. <7> server's down ... lets hope it comes back up <10> bwahahah <11> pocky never lasts long enough <10> I have unleashed evul upon the cow-orkers. <4> adikt...NO kidding...:) <4> siglite, did you pull out your penis? <12> he said evil, not laughter. :D <11> dogbert2, he said evul, not humor :P <10> I obtained all the network engineers and the lead developers cell phone numbers, and the ***ociated email addresses for SMSing them. <8> siglite: You evil ****. <10> I have three remote hosts running nagios monitoring HUNDREDS of systems. <10> they will *ALL* get a message on thier cell phones if ANYTHING goes down. <7> damnit, BOOT SERVER, BOOT! <11> siglite, time for a 'trial' ? ;) <7> I hate co-lo'd machines...cant tell if there is a server error unless it takes 4 days to boot <7> wh00t <7> it came back up <10> adikt: it found a flapping server at 6PM. <10> adikt: that was fun. Everyone knows about it :) <8> Steakk: Any recommendations for a vritual coloc? I need to get one set up in a week or two. <11> heheh <8> s/vri/vir <7> ThomasM, I use jaguarPC <7> 3 IPs, 10 gigs space, 150gigs xfer, for like, $19.99 or somethin
<8> ****. RAM? <8> I don't have any intensive processes yet, but it may be running as a server for custom network apps in the near future. <7> ThomasM, 8gigs shared <8> Steakk: You ever notice any slowdowns (performance, link, whatever)? <7> a bit here and there, but I am running intensive apps (CRM databases and such) <8> Cool. I'll look into that tomorrow, then. <8> Thank you, kindly. You may have saved me having to waste hours and hours researching, unless the boss lady decides she wants a local datacenter, at which point I only have to look at 5. <7> I tried about 5 different VPS's, and thsi was the best bang-for-the-buck <8> I'd be asking more, but I'm sure they've got all the details listed on their site, and I'm not so lazy as to make you read me web pages. :P <7> highest plan: $79.95/mo, 45 gigs space, 450 gig xfer (or unmetered 4mbps...your choice), 512mg guaranteed, equal share Dual Opteron CPUs, unlimited domains, free daily backups, 3 ip addys, choice of control panel and distro <8> Well, I was sort of budgeting $60-$100, so I may do a few "free" upgrapes. <7> Addons are as follows: $5/mo per gig space, $5/mo per 50 gig xfer, $10/128mg ram, $5/mo per 50 CPU units <12> dogbert2: what kinds <4> strawberry and chocolate (cheap price...50 cents a box) <12> $.50/box ?! <12> holy **** where <4> i'm in Vegas :) <4> store was having a sale...bought 12 boxes :) <4> D-side likes pocky huh? <1> when i install linux shoud i make 1 partition, and the other for the swap will be created automatically of i have to make 2 ? <1> at the beginning <4> D-Side...still there? <4> bwhahaahaha: <4> A REPORT on Florida based WFTV said that a notebook caught fire in a man's truck, turning it into ashes. <7> db2: I resigned from my position with $employer today <7> well, now $former_employer <4> Steakk...why did you do that? <7> they wanted to tell me that any business that I do has to go through them, and rather me getting paid $60-$150 an hour, they wanna pay me $20 <7> so, i gave them my letter of resignation <4> that's sad... <7> ayups <4> see if you can find someone who might need part-time IT help <7> hrm? I am in business for myself...continuing that business <4> okz... <12> what! <4> I asked if you were a pocky fiend <7> db4: what is pocky exactly? <13> So I think I'm going to get a Sempron 3100 <4> Steakk, go to wikipedia and search for pocky <12> dogbert2: of course i am <12> dogbert2: reverse is the best. <4> what flavor do you like? <4> reverse flavor (I usually find chocolate or strawberry) <14> I'm adding a new user to my FC4 box, and I want him to only to be able to access his home directory (ala chroot)... I'm not sure how to go about it --- any pointers? <12> the "special" strawberry was fantastic <12> the one with dried strawberry bits in it <4> ooooh, sounds tasty <13> rizwank: You mean only his /home/user dir? <14> reality, yes. <13> rizwank: Google for chroot jail <7> db4: where can one go to get that? little .jp ? <12> dogbert2: lets see... oh, the decoratative one i think they call it <4> Steakk, where are you at? <12> it looks like cake icing, also great. <7> db4: Milwaukee, WI <4> most asian stores should carry it...if you have a little tokyo around, perfect <14> reality : something like jailkit? <13> rizwank: Yeah <7> no little tokyo here in MKE <4> do you have japanese markets there? <12> there has to be at least one <7> I'd have to ask around <14> reality : http://olivier.sessink.nl/jailkit/howtos_ssh_only.html <14> thats about all i need, it seems <12> dogbert2: hm. <12> i'm still thinking about what else is good. <4> the other thing I usually go to the asian markets for is sapporo ichiban chow mein "dry" noodles...add some red ginger after cooking a package or two, and you have a tasty (and cheap) meal :)
