<0> quittin time <1> Later Kozmo <2> i'm going to test a new explo1t for win2003....brb in 5 min or beter just leave...bye all! <1> no no no, damnit, I wanna know tha sploit! <1> We just received our Win2K3 Server R2 software from MSDN and I wanna build a server with it and if there's a sploit for it, I wanna try it. <3> hi <1> hiya Nashoy <3> how are u <1> None too shabby, yourself? <3> fine thx <3> i've installed linux yesterday <1> Cool <1> Linux is Good. <3> i already tried mandrake and debian, and now i'm under ubuntu and it's the best one for me <1> *nods* Good choice.
<1> Or so I've heard. <3> what do you have ? <1> SuSE <4> "All the eMail in the world won't speed up the U.S. <4> Postal Service or UPS. I live in Arizona and I do believe that mail is <4> still carried by Pony Express, at least the first two or three hundred <4> miles! " <1> I tried Mandrake and Fedora, but SuSE has been good to me so far <1> lol Polar <3> oh i also tried suse, but don't know, i found it incomplete .. <3> and i missed apt ^ <5> hi PolarWolf, by the way. <4> Viking667: Ey <4> Viking667: I'll get around to sending you a package soonish <6> Max0: Either leave the #hack* channels or this one. <7> Lion-O: I was wondering where the drunk dutchman was <7> Lion-O: you know Im just envious on your beer. <3> what's the main reason why you've installed linux ? <6> nashoy: depends on many factors and the one installing it. <6> Jostein: lol, I'm all out at the moment as well ;-) <3> Lion-0 : and whats your one ? <6> nashoy: none of your business? <3> .. <6> As if all my installations were driven by a single motivation? lol, sorry; not in the mood to waste my time and explain all the installations I've done so far. <3> yes ok, i know that there's not only one reason, but i can't be because of the programmation <8> bah, how can I list all available plugins for Spam******in? <6> nashoy: uh huh. <6> nashoy: are you here to troll or.... ? <7> Lion-O: feeling lazy today? <6> Jostein: hmm, not really. I've done my share of work today :P and I still have to finish a servers configuration ;) <7> ah <7> Lion-O: you could always leave the donut to me :P <7> Lion-O: I always crash the host Im on when I get a donut in here, and I havent crashed this one yet >:) <6> Jostein: first get your server running for some longer periods 8) <7> lol <7> got new HW today! <7> dont you check the less-than-oper channels over at neko? :P <6> Jostein: sure I did ;) but seeing is believing 8) <9> How can i make it possible to change "any as essid" on my wlan0 to hhus <9> I have tried with iwconfig wlan0 essid hhus <9> but iwconfig gives a dam <9> Wont set it <7> Lion-O: I know. after the "upgrade" things have been going **** <6> Jostein: *nod* :/ Oh well, I'm sure things will work out soon enough. <7> lioh well. new HW, up and running as of now <10> give me Lexii <7> lets see if this helps :/ <6> Jostein: oh, I have no doubts. <9> Is iwconfig buggy? <6> erikandre: is it ? <7> Lion-O: worst case scenario? Ill ask the admin to put up the old box :P <9> I dont know <7> Lion-O: with a 10GB disk or so *grin*
<9> i am just so pissed off <6> Jostein: hehe ;-) <9> because i had to change essid to hhus to get my wlan on wlan0 to work <10> worse case scenario is you get raped in the *** with a cheap broom stick <9> but that ******* iwconfig command wont set it <6> erikandre: so do it right. <9> iwconfig wlan0 essid hhus <9> i did write <6> if you did it right it would have worked, simple. <7> safemode: my worst case scenario differs from yours, it seems :P <9> but it says "any" what ever what i write <9> Lion-O: I DID DO it simple <9> But iwconfig seems to dont wanna save it <6> erikandre: uh huh. <9> iwconfig wlan0 essid hhus <6> erikandre: So, you're also absolutely sure that your wireless card is supported? <9> YES <6> erikandre: enough with the repeation already, we got you the FIRST time. <9> Because i have used it since i installed ubuntu <9> the it admin at this place changed the essid from default to hhus <6> aah, I can't imagine how you were able to cope then now that you keep whining how things don't work. <6> "default" ? lol <9> Yes becaue it where just testing wireless <9> and then the admin of the wireless did change it do not broadcast essid <9> so the admin told me to change it from default to hhus <9> but i cant do that so iwconfig saves it <6> so you had a wireless router in default mode and your ubuntu installation picked it up and it worked because the essid was set to default eh? Go kid someone else. <9> SHUT up <9> and let me speak finnish <6> erikandre: I don't think so. I suggest you do the shutting up in here and bore other people with your whining. <7> Lion-O: bluecom is actually a rather decent ISP <7> Lion-O: have adsl2+ @ 20mbps at decent prices, they do <7> too bad Im not getting them :P <6> Jostein: sounds good indeed. We're still at adsl1, 2/1 Mb. which should soon be raised to 6/1 but when and how is a little bit fuzzy since there is talk that the ISP's Dutch division is getting sold. <7> Lion-O: well. right now Im getting 3m/350k <7> Lion-O: ISPs in norway dont seem to think that upstream is useful for anyone <7> gah <6> Jostein: neither do most ISP's over here unfortunatly. These up rates are rare. At most other places I'd pay slightly more for much less upstream. <7> Dont think I -need- 3mbps down, but I was forced to go that high just to get 350k down <7> 350k up :P <6> :) <6> Jostein: yeah, ISP's are still something else. <7> no being able to upload at 30kb/s is just pathethic <7> Lion-O: thats a way to put it <6> Jostein: hmm, its a strange market, plain and simple <7> yeah <11> hi all.does anybody worked with mini-itx via motherboards? <6> Jostein: and unfortunatly not everyone has the experience they should have :/ <7> Lion-O: indeed. this is a rather pro ISP <7> Lion-O: but their customer service is roumored to be the -worst- :P <7> Lion-O: they even have those silly "talking help" when you call them <7> Lion-O: like you have to save "private" "internett" "two two four three ...." <12> amnesiax: yes. <7> s/save/say/ <6> Jostein: even that is something which doesn't have to be important. I know it from mine; I see problems being reported with their mail and web services on a regular basis (sorta) but all that stuff doesn't really apply to me since well... I use my own stuff 8) <13> Fscking internet prices **** down under (australia, nz). <11> whyzzyrd: which m\b model? <7> Lion-O: too bad this one doesnt do staic IP for private customers and filter port 25, ey? <12> amnesiax: why does it matter? <6> Jostein: auch :/ <7> Lion-O: port 25 incoming. dont know about outgoing... <7> Lion-O: guess I'll find out <13> rocks <7> Lion-O: if they filter port 25 outgoing.. I'll need to get some proxy-setup going. because -damn- if I'll ditch my gmail for some limited ISP email account <6> Jostein: hmm.. I like the way they're doing it here.. They distribute IP's (static) through dhcp, basicly your Mac is hooked to your IP that way. The modem is put in bridge mode by default so I sorta have a 'direct' connection. Not limited or filtered in any way. <11> whyzzyrd: i`m planning to get one and i`m not sure about model and how linux will work with audio\video devices <7> Lion-O: just how I inted to set things up. apart from the static IP part :P <6> hehe <6> Jostein: hmm, I really prefer static over dynamic. <12> amnesiax: well. I use them for browser kiosks. I'm aware that the audio works, I have used it, and I'm aware that the graphics may be accelerated with recent kernels. <7> Lion-O: no ****. I just didnt feel like paying several hundred euroes to get the line installed <7> Lion-O: these guys do it for free
