<5> syn-ack, I set up my gmail a LONG time ago for allowing pop-access, but just never utilized it (good, Outlook 2003 here as well) ... anyways, i just set it up in oulook now, and clicked S/R, and it is saying that its only receiving 757 e-mails, and not the 16000 that i have...any ideas why?

<14> i've used windows for years and i've never had any problem with people 0wning my box.. but hundreds of thousands of others have ... thus it ****s. outlook is the same way. It's a poorly designed program and the evidence of such is in the absurdity of it's exploits. At least until recently (since nothing new is anything more than a malicious user run program) most of it was execution of code it shouldn't be executing...and very insecure defaults. etc

<5> syn-ack, a few e-mail clients ih ave used allow for converation matching like gmail does, and puts it into a collapsable tree...does outlook offer something like that?
<16> even with all of the patches, I still run across emails that show up in Outlook XP that appear to have opened themselves over imap. (message preview displayed in the index pane, try marking a read message unread to see what I mean)
