<8> Seriously though, a DVR box would require a DVD player as well which means having to put everything on a switch (degrades signal) and having to calibrate two sources (requires switching the projector to a different video mode and different calibration settings) so that wasn't an option for me

<11> I just installed Slackware 10.2 and in a console screen it says "your filesystem needs to be hecked ( has be unmounted incorrecly) you need to reboot your computer in windows mode an run checkdisk and check your filesystem before you can run linux again. in windows xp you need to start up the computer one extra time in windows mode to finish the cleanup of the filesystem correct
