<1> quite a worrisome statement
<1> by someone called "Revenger" ;^)
<2> Damn what a horrible site SNAB has
<3> interesting piece, TenBaseT
<2> Anyone knows how to get subversion stick the revision of an entire tree in a file, like cvs' $Revision$ and not like svn's per file alternative?
<1> erm, revisions numbers in subversion are always per-repository, so what do you mean?
<2> Well, when I stick $Rev$ in a file and set a property for that, it just reflects that file's revision and not that of the whole tree, which could be a bit higher
<2> Like, when you check out revision 123, some files might stil be stuck on older revisions, yet I want that 123 reflected in a file
<1> hm...
<2> Heh, exactly ;)
<1> can't find anything
<2> I've been through the svn book a million times, couldn't find anything either

<2> And I feel a little reluctant to abuse some hook for this
<2> Morning, Lion-O
<4> mornin? ;) evening!
<1> so what's the use of this compared to the standard behaviour?
<2> It's too light for it to be evening ;)
<1> hey Lion-O
<4> Coma: lol
<4> Coma: goodmorning then. Don't you know its bad for your health to drink beer in the morning ?
<2> mod: So I can have $app report which revision I'm running atm
<4> Coma: so its only fair if I save your life and drink it all up for you 8)
<2> Lion-O: Not if that's what you ended with the night before
<2> Haha, you too?!
<5> oh boy.
<4> hmm ? Out of beer?
<5> boss bought us white castle for lunch.
<2> Lion-O: Mind you, there's 20 crates of Hertog Jan sitting in the garden. It'd kill you
<4> aaaah... then you can miss 5 of 'm ;)
<2> Lion-O: No I can't. I think I'm actually short on beer for tomorrow ;)
<4> always complaining :P
<1> Coma: ah
<2> I really don't like a bunch of drunks going through 20+ y/o whiskies like they're your run of the mill johnny walkers
<4> thats why we'll drink those now as well ;)
<1> indeed, that would be a crime against humanity
<4> Coma: you will thank us in the morning ;)
<2> Lion-O: And you'll thank me when I present you the bill? =)
<4> Coma: HellHound will take care of that 8)
<6> Party at Coma's house?
<2> synapsis: yup
<1> Coma: best i can think of is have the Makefile get the current revision of the directory and p*** it with -D or something
<7> Coma: Aye it's been snowing everywhere in the UK but in London over the past couple of days
<6> Snow? What is this... snow?
<4> Coma: keep your snow :P
<7> Coma: I'm hoping for a bit later tonight - there's a big band of it heading southwards at the moment.
<2> mod: *grin* what makefile?
<6> It's been 25C here all week.
<2> Tron: You can have ours. All of it
<2> I want summer back!
<6> Summerly? hah
<1> Coma: ah. what's the app written in?
<6> 45C is summerly.
<2> mod: perl
<2> synapsis: Yikes, I don't think I'd last very long in temperatures like that, despite liking heat over cold
<6> It's not that bad. Sorta like standing in a hairdryer.
<2> What's a hairdryer again?
<6> Nevermind, you'd be burnt.
<8> synapsis: do you use hairdryer? *blink*
<1> Coma: Makefile.PL then :^)
<6> tsokolat: No, but at one time I had a gf who did.
<2> mod: I'm too lazy for that sort of stuff, I deploy right out of svn ;)
<8> synapsis: ahh. you were drying her hair. :)
<6> No, she was drying her hair and I was trying to brush my teeth in the wind.
<8> yeah yeah..

<1> Coma: make the perl program itself call the svn command at runtime then :-p
<4> hmm, almost 7pm
<2> Lion-O: Good idea!
<4> aye
<6> That means almost lunchtime for me. heh
<4> fries
<9> hehe http://www.munchweb.dk/sjov/Atju.jpg
<4> I wonder if "my cdrw wasn't burned yet" will be accepted as an excuse not to start with dinner yet :)
<9> Lion-O: I do hope you know her better than that by now ;)
<10> yay someone just stole my nick I use for 5 years now
<11> soo
<11> babylon5 weekend.
<11> beer, chips and crackers. all i need.
<12> i want my goddamn speakers
<13> I want my CCW
<12> got the 7.1 receiver 3 weeks ago...
<14> anyone knows how to install decebal
<14> ?
<11> i want my OC-192 in the bedroom.
<12> nah, thats good for more p0rn than you can watch
<15> I am working on a search engine. Right now it's only network enabled - it is unlikely that I'll add web services within the next six months, because I'm working on implementing an ontology on the SE. It will be open source by the end of July, when my project term at college is completed. I'd like to hear about any features you'd like to see in it...
<13> kkaisare: pr0n
<15> schitzo: As in a specialised ontology? :D I'd like that too...
<6> I want my engine. It should be here next week.
<5> Revenger: never once saw an episode of B5.
<16> hello.i need some help on installing a linux from another computer over the network.i have a big image of suse linux 10 full on a computer, and i want to install it on another computer, but over a network(between the 2 computers).can somebody explain to me what do i have to do?
<10> Install a DHCP and a TFTP Server on the one machine, holding the Image. Configure PXE Boot to use the image. Boot the destination computer via Network card
<17> ya tu du monde qui on install linux sur leur ipod nano
<4> BUURP
<13> I think it's about time to blow this popscicle stand.
<18> Peter! manners!
<4> Tamahome_: oops
<4> sowwy!
<18> so I'm here taking care of 2 cats for the next week or so... one of the two has made it clear that I am not her friend.
<4> this is gonna be good. Next to updates I'll also be turning on auditing on my server 8)
<19> Schitzo's going to blow popsicles?
<19> Kinky.
<18> OK, overshare
<20> head. hurts. like. hell
<19> Any skilled Vmware masters? :-D Actually it's probably something easy, it seems like every time I click out of the VMware window, what's going on in that window slows to a crawl or stop, like it's getting almost suspended every time I click out. Is there a setting for this?
<4> hmm, vmware
<4> helllo: ENGLISH
<20> helllo: ENGLISH!
<19> lol
<19> Does anyone know how to install Linux on the iPod Nano
<4> sure
<19> (was his question, not that it matters now)
<4> CeruleanD: First buy me an ipod ;)
<19> heh, I'll tell you what, if I hit the Powerball, it's nano's for all.
<14> anyone knows how to install decebal=?
<21> CeruleanD: Make sure you install VMware tools
<4> CeruleanD: hehe
<19> Yeah, every time I go to install something that usually takes a relatively short amount of time, and then click out of the vmware window or minimize it, it basically stalls. I come back an hour later and the installation meter is either at the same spot, or just a few pixels along.
<20> i hate active directory
<22> you know what would rock my world? Someone hacking together something using gecko that can be fed a URL, and output screenshots of that webpage based on tags embedded in the html, as if it had been rendered into a window of a given size and those portions copied and pasted into an image, but without the manual labor ;P
<22> in other news, writing documentation ****s.
<20> been a while (read as "24 hours") since i was that pissed at windows
<20> RelDrgn: yeah i know, ****s donkey coq
<19> I did/do
<4> Z-Boss: I suggest you lose the lame script NOW
<14> ??
<14> what script
<14> =
<20> so, after setting this ninja GPO, somehow it DID NOT ****ING trust the sites in the "trusted sites" list
<20> and i still dont know why it didnt
<20> Z-Boss: lose the enter key fast
<19> Yeah, vmware tools is the first thing I install. :)
<4> Z-Boss: yeah, you typed that on your own. Sure.
<19> What's the = for? It's nowhere near a valid puncuation character, I think, on most keyboards...
<20> CeruleanD: rtfm :P
<20> Lion-O: get ready, weekend is near
