<0> thanks googling right now <1> yeah I just roleld out squid and squidguard myself as a transparent proxy, works nicely <2> D-side: iirc the only thing I disliked about that one is that it adds an extra layer to squid (iirc, not sure from mind). <3> i'm reading on squidguard now <3> that might be the worst looking site i've ever seen. <2> D-side: still, from what I read here it should be possible to use dansguardian on its own. <2> D-side: interesting approach there. Still, even squid acl's should be usefull in this manner. <3> everytime i think about setting up a proxy i realize i have no reason to do so. <2> hehe <2> D-side: well, it helps with some things. I like using it to block spam and the likes and it somewhat reduces the overal load through the use of its cache. Well, the fact that we're both using it also adds up to that ofcourse. <2> A single user approach should be able to utilize the features which your modern age browsers offer you I guess. <3> hm? what do you mean? <3> i just dont know how much of a benefit the caching would bring my gf and I <2> D-side: For example; mozilla can also keep a cache of web data. <3> true enough <4> Hey, I just added a new set of libraries(.java files) to my linux server. How do i compile those libraries and add them to the cl***path?
<2> icenyne: depends on your java virtual machine. RTFM comes to mind, I also think this is more a Java than Linux related issue. <5> icenyne: .java's are source files. You need .cl*** files, or a .jar file, if you want them in your "cl***path" <2> icenyne: its not very nice to ask the same questions in multiple channels at the same time <4> thats not nice? <4> its effective :p <6> I hiked about 6 miles yesterday and then soaked in the hotel's hottub <6> Got lot of pics of waterfalls and canyons <6> ObHeh http://www.partiallyclips.com/filk/nethack/RobBalderDotCom_NetHack.mp3 <7> cool. It's a Creative Live 5.1, using snd_emu10k1 driver. It used to work fine play and record. However, since last Saturday I'm not able to capture audio with it. (and some little glitches, too). Kernel has not change. The only thing I noticed that might be related is that I tried the aplaymidi command and it crashed some driver. Is it possible that it might hae da <15> maged the mixer? Anything that I can do to maybe fix it? <6> init to 0 and back to where you were? <3> cappicard: rather high, no? <3> wouldnt you think 8khz would be a far smaller filesize for something that doenst haveto sound good? <7> trying to make it into a mono file <7> yeah <3> or are these constraints on what the phone will play?
