<5> is anyone able to give some help?
<5> this is on debian
<6> might have better luck on freenode irc network, they have tons of channels dedicated to individual linux programs, there might be a #egroupware there
<6> theres also OFTC
<5> thank you
<6> which is basically everyone who got ticked off at freenode ;)
<7> freenode is nice because they have no ops...and to be honest they don't need any
<5> good information, thank's a lot :)
<5> see you soon
<8> Gevaudan82: they have lilo though
<8> and that's a big issue. :)
<9> cheeksy
<8> hey cheeksy
<10> hey ;o)
<8> bah, he's gone
<8> *SIGH*
<3> *sig* remember when a movie title like "A bridge oover the river QwaI" actually meant it was about a bridge and it was named that? now gotta guess what the hell a movie is about based on the title
<11> ugh
<11> I'm heavily sleep deprived
<11> and I gotta have the game face on tomorrow, bright and early.
<12> when i do ifconfig, i have a large number on my "collision" field. how do i set it back to 0?
<11> paranoid_: fix the hardware.
<11> paranoid_: collisions are a bad thing.
<12> does collision have anything to do with the platform (fedora) or services (squid)?
<13> no.
<11> paranoid_: you can simply reload the driver. that would probably reset the counters. But there may be easier ways to do it.
<13> it means your LAN is broken.
<11> paranoid_: no, collisions are lower level. Your ethernet cards are stepping on each other. Something's b0rk.
<11> paranoid_: that or you're trying to run too many systems on a hub. Get a switch.
<12> collisions happen on the eth0 which is connected to the modem. im not using a hub
<11> what modem?
<11> cable model? dsl modem?
<12> nokia adsl modem
<11> ah.
<13> your modem is half-duplex and ****s
<11> if you're seeing collisions on that, get a new modem. It's fubar.
<12> so its really that.
<11> yes
<13> eh, it's probably just half-duplex, and he's trying to push too much through it in either direction
<11> either way
<11> he needs a new/better modem.
<14> hello
<12> like?
<11> that crap causes latency.
<14> can anyone help me whit debian?
<11> paranoid_: lots of reviews out there in google-land. Go read.
<12> ok thanks.

<8> enter in the right p***word?
<15> RAMO: You're not too bright are you? if its saying that the p*** is incorrect, then obviously you didnt enter the right p***.
<16> any1 can help me please,i want to add a user whit all privilege & permission..
<17> gothigh: Not a good idea.
<17> In fact, it's such a bad idea that anyone who knows enough to implement it knows instinctively that it's a hideously bad idea and refrains from doing it.
<16> i know but its for me..cuz i can start some process on root..
<17> gothigh: Use sudo.
<17> gothigh: And anything that refuses to work when started as root probably has a very good reason for it.
<16> its a process like eggdrop
<16> emech
<16> ./energymech
<16> init: Do NOT run EnergyMech as root!
<17> gothigh: And I just stopped caring about your rootkiddie issues altogether.
<18> i have secondary hardisk as slave. my problem how i can mounth the secondhardisk.
<3> Sp0iled: man mount, edit your /etc/fstab
<18> then
<17> Sp0iled: You will need to partition it first, mind.
<17> Unless it already is. In which case you can mount the partitions
<18> help me please. i dont know what command it'S? and how to partition may hdd
<17> Sp0iled: type 'man mount' and 'man cfdisk' and READ.
<18> ok thank i'll try

<21> mike2: I think Im going thru the same ****. my puter is slower than two old people ****ing
<23> syn-ack_, if you keep picking up the same **** all the time even after having spyware programs delete stuff then it's possible, I downloaded a demo of spyware sweeper which showed the root cause, but I had to get nasty and use a tool called l2mfix and hijackthis in the end :(
<21> 12mfix?
<21> mike2: Spysweeper ****s nuts. I use spybot and a couple others.
<23> syn-ack_, I used spybot and ad-aware, neither of them were picking this up :(
<21> wow
