<0> Hi, I have a bind error the solution of which I can't find on google: general: error: zone mydomain.com/IN: cannot refresh: no masters <0> any ideeas ? <1> I'd say the zone has no masters. <0> the server is the master ns and the zone is configured correctly <2> no its not <2> if it was, you wouldn't get an error nutjob <1> if it was configured correctly you wouldn't have gotten an error. <2> Lion-O: copycat! <1> jgaddis: hehe <3> andrewss: you think the server is the master, but the server doesn't think so. one of you is wrong. <4> Ka-bar: in this case, I believe both are :) <0> I checked the top level domain and the ns is set to my server's ip , also my zone file and named.conf is configured identical to the other zones
<0> hmm <3> andrewss: that doesn't matter. <3> your server believes it is a secondary and that it should be getting the zone from some master. <0> it seems all my other zones get this error when I rndc refresh ... so I guess it's a config problem <3> but you don't have a master configured <3> Hmmm... "Cannot join #bind (Requires keyword)." <5> kann mir jemand erklren wie ich unter ubuntu schreibgeschtzte dvds brennen kann <1> English <5> kann mir jemand erklren wie ich unter ubuntu schreibgeschtzte dvds brennen kann? <0> fixed it, it was a warning actually: I had "IN SOA domain.com" instead of "IN SOA ns.domain.com" which was not listed at parents' (which dnsreport states is legal) <0> still the domain doesn't propagate <5> hallo <1> andrewss: in other words; your zone wasn't properly setup. <5> kann mir bitte jemand erklren wie ich unter ubuntu schreibgeschtzte dvds brennen kann? <6> crikey <0> it was exactly as the other zones (that did propagate) <0> and yes, it wasn't properly setup <1> sure, sure. <2> all i've done is smoke a whole bunch and go to lunch twice <7> gating on something? <2> gating? <8> HEY ALL <7> jgaddis, gating, blocking, etc. <9> HEY CAPSLOCK <2> i just haven't felt like doing **** today <10> jgaddis: Likewise, only I just got in the office <10> ..trying to find our starcraft cd to install it on my laptop <2> yeah, i came in three hours late, have smoked probably half a pack and been to lunch twice <2> dont really know why i'm waiting for 5 to leave... <8> someone has a archlinux? <10> I think I found it too <1> as in arch mage? ;) <10> jgaddis: What time is it now? <8> 22:32 <8> how to install fluxbox on archlinux?:) <1> seven7: reading its manual will help a lot. <8> nvm i have read 4 maunals :| <8> alnd i couldn't found how to install it :( <1> sure you did. <8> plz help me!! <1> odd that I happen to find some solid hints within.. 1 minute? <1> http://www.archlinux.org/static/docs/arch-install-guide.html#faq <1> " How can I install packages from the install CD with pacman --sync (so it resolves dependencies for me)?"
<8> i was there <2> Pizbit: 16.35 <10> jgaddis: Eh, get up and leave:) <8> i dont understand ;p <1> seven7: then perhaps you shoudl consider another distribution. <8> can some1 say me which command should i type to install fluxbox?:D <11> Lion-O: gotta watch out, pacman will wander off to eat some dots :) <1> hehehe <1> and in other news.. OS/2 is installing quite nicely on vmware server even though it seems that my nic & soundcard may provide some problems. <12> Lion-O, while i see you working hard with modes and stuff, may i ask if you know Gaia^ the #linuxhelp OP? <1> El-Saif: I do, yeah. <12> Lion-O, is your opinion about her positive? <1> El-Saif: what is that suppose to mean? What opinion and with regards to what and where? <12> Lion-O, i dont plan to create drama. i am just curious <1> El-Saif: about my opinion, which I don't quite follow. With regards to what? In an overal manner? I guess positive. <12> i see <1> While I know her I can't say I know her extremely well to form a solid basis. As you can see I frequent this channel and not #lh :P <12> true <12> but many people from this channel are regulars over there, too <10> So? This is a different channel. <12> and then i saw your kicks i wondered. on the channel over there, i never saw Gaia^ helping anybody with linux cause she does not know anything about linux. but she boots people who sit there and have a good time <9> relevance your honor <10> geewrd: None seen. <12> i wonder if people are just people when they have access, or if i have a small chance to be and enjoy company <10> El-Saif: Just so you know, everyone is laughing at you. <9> dude <9> are you getting upset because you feel socially repressed? <9> because if you are <12> Pizbit, i am used to that like many on this channel <9> I will laugh endlessly at you <12> Pizbit, because a lot of people laughed at us during our lives we prefer electronic toys over humans <10> El-Saif: Bullocks <9> are you talking about vibrators? <9> because I don't prefer vibrators <10> hehe <12> heh <12> Nathanael, you are a male brat. but i like that <13> What was the shell command to go out and grab an RPM from the internet? <10> geewrd: El-Saif is fliritng with you! <14> depends. <14> Nimwei: urpmi, apt-rpm, rpm-get, yum...read your distribution's instructions to see what tool it uses <13> I'm running Suse 9.3c. Trying to get a few things installed so I can start messing around. <1> Nimwei: any webbrowser will do then but I suggest using yast. <13> The Online Update portion of Yast? <1> no, yast. "installing/removing software". But hard to think hmm? <9> el-saif: I hope to hell that you are a chick <1> when setup with an online suse software repository it will do just as you asked; grab an rpm online. Ofcourse everything depends on the context in which this is all meant. <12> does the current open suse still require you to add repositories manually, or was that just during the beta stage? <13> Yeah, that's the thing though. I left all of my CD's for the OS in a box somewhere so I needed to grab one off the 'net and install it. The "install/remove software" goes by the CD's from everything I can see. <13> Righth on Lion-O. I hear ya. <12> geewrd, we are in the IntarWeb where gender does not matter. i am just the digital projection of my mental self <13> I'm pretty new to linux, unfortunately. Trying to get all of this down and get some basic services setup.
