<0> Can't beat a free shirt.
<1> Falchion: don't make me get into my car and drive up to Manchester. . .
<2> hehe
<1> Oh, wait. Never mind. I was going to do that anyway.
<3> Falchion: meh, they make sure your cmopany is real though ;)
<4> what is my host?
<0> wlfshmn: Wonder how
<1> Teakk: 170.206.224.54
<4> ah
<0> Ka-bar: cameras in the parking lot. Go steal my parking p*** so I can visit you in jail :)
<3> Falchion: ninjas don't get caught on video
<0> wlfshmn: Ka-bar is far, far, far from being a ninja :)

<0> So he'd be ****ed. heh
<0> http://go.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=oddlyEnoughNews&storyID=12395761&src=rss/oddlyEnoughNews <--- Balls.
<1> Heh... Valley Street... 3 hots and a cot. ;)
<3> Falchion: uncommunicative server...
<0> wlfshmn: works fine for me.
<3> Falchion: I can't even get to go.reuters
<0> Ka-bar: Did you just say you'd look forward to 3 hot cocks at valley street?
<0> wlfshmn: Your intarweb s b0rked :)
<1> Hrmmm... nmap-ing Teakk's crackberry yielded some... interesting... results.
<0> heh
<3> Falchion: Not likely! It's been working fine since I downloaded the new version last week
<0> wlfshmn: heh Intarweb 2.00?
<3> Falchion: 2.01
<3> Falchion: they found an overflow.
<0> heh
<5> I love ordering things from nearby vendors.
<5> 3rd day shipping is always next day
<6> later
<3> D-side: My next-day orders come from across the country. Then again, my country is smaller than most of your states
<3> D-side: and 3rd day is what the call regular packages here... except they won't comit to a firm 3day delivery ofcourse. or gaurantee that you get your item. much less intact.
<3> D-side: but thats the post office for you.
<3> service with a sneer.
<5> i dont use the USPS often at all.
<5> UPS is a few dollars more, and gets there faster usually.
<3> I don't have any problems with USPS, and in fact, their packages get delivered here far more expediently than UPS ones..
<5> the 3 day shipping costs half of what next day is, and since i'm so close to the distributor as it is, it got here that next day anyway.
<5> $12 as opposed to $25. woo.
<7> i have a pid 3568.... i m with putty how to join inside this proccess?
<3> if a package form UPS p***es customs, they invariably show up at my door wanting to be paid in cash, exact change only at like noon on a buisness day when everyone is at work, and if yoiu aren't there, you get to get yourself out to their depot, which is out in the boonweeds, and pick up your damn package yourself. But by then, you ofcourse can't pay in cash anymore. Your bill will instead be sent to you a few weeks later when you don't expect it, and with
<5> bailamos: what?!
<8> bailamos: you don't.
<5> Lion-O: congrats on understanding the above.
<7> mmmmmmmmm
<7> how can i do that?
<3> atleast USPS gets delivered by the local post office, and they send me a note telling me to get off my arse and go to them and get my package, payment on the spot, but cards accepted, or they send the package back.
<8> D-side: hmm, my guess is that he discovered a pid and thinks he can take over the console.
<8> bailamos: you can't.
<0> http://go.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=oddlyEnoughNews&storyID=12395591
<7> only with root on my server?
<5> wlfshmn: well thats obviously a different story than what i'm talking about. :)
<3> Falchion: hey! this time said server existed! ;)
<8> bailamos: do yourself a favor and read a manual sometime.
<7> lol
<7> ok i am newbie
<7> if u want to help me its ok
<7> if not its ok
<8> bailamos: I already did. And kindly speak English here.
<9> Hi. Anyone can tell me the meaning of "ant on a hot pan"?
<8> hmm, I'd say a 5.3 on the bouncyness factor.
<9> Yes, but my nature language is not english. That is why the question
<7> Lion-O u are kindly requested to shut the **** up
<8> now he scored 8.7 on the bouncy ness factor
<7> olol
<8> w0000, D-side won
<5> yay!
<10> damn.
<10> missed the game.
<5> my first win, i'm so proud. :)
<8> D-side: ooh, you're a bofh ball virgin? ;) then you get to pay for the beer!
<5> damn you. :)

<5> lunchtime. bbl.
<8> bon appetit
<1> Ooooh. almost time to head $home. Yay.
<11> hello, i have a problem since i upgraded to dapper... i get some screen distortion at times that makes it impossible to use the desktop. i read somewhere that dapper dan Xorg and that Xorg has issues with ATI cards, can i "downgrade" to x11 somehow?
<1> BlackEyez: probably a configuration issue. timing most likely. I have an ATI card, run xorg, and it works fine.
<12> which ati driver are you using, the free one or ati's driver?
<11> let me see to make sure... i think the free one
<11> Ka-bar: i run linux on a laptop though...
<11> says ATI Radeon (fglrx), and im running on ati mobility radeon 9000
<1> oh. well, you didn't *say* that...
<1> laptops can be a problem...
<1> but I'd still suspect timing configuration.
<11> okay... does it matter? heh, keep in mind im quite new to linux :)
<1> BlackEyez: yes, laptop hardware can be quite a bit different from "normal" hardware.
<11> okay... but it ran quite fine under breezy...
<1> Don't know what to tell you then, since I don't currently have a laptop... Still, you may want to check the xorg website and/or google for your laptop/chipset/distro/whatever. It's probably unlikely that anyone here is going to have experienced your exact problem and know how to fix it.
<11> i was afraid of that :/ but is it possible to "downgrade" to x11 from xorg, if all else fails?
<13> what's your favourite linux openGL game?
<11> by the way, does ubuntu come with a program that works like "system restore" in xp?
<11> serchan: ut2k4 ;>
<14> BlackEyez: If you do things properly, you don't need it
<13> SYStem restore :))) :)) lol :DD :D does it somewhen work ? :DD lol lol :D. Just try tipe du * / . The same effect == waste of time
<13> ut2k4 ? what is it?
<11> PolarWolf: well im quite fresh and curious, so I dont know about "doing things properly"
<11> unreal tournament 2004. and system restore is one of the few features i liked in xp
<0> serchan: Are you retarded or just stupid? I'm sorta curious.
<6> re
<0> OM: diuer
<13> BlackEyez: DO you have UT for linux ?
<0> I mean die. damnit.
<6> Falchion: seen
<11> serchan: i have it, not installed though
<11> im gonna try it once i move back to my student apartment on my desktop, if i get used to linux enough
<11> whats the diffrence between flgrx and fbdev drivers? what does it stand for?
<13> BlackEyez: Linuc installaton of UT2k4 is shipped with Win instalation?
<15> anyone here?
<6> no
<11> o/
<3> http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/diggemsmack/Emo-Day.jpg
<6> w***at?
<3> work-safe
<0> wlfshmn: hehe nice
<6> i don't get it
<12> serchan: yes, if you buy the game both installers are on there
<0> OM: you know what an Emo is?
<3> OldMonk: That because india probably doesn't have any emo's, what with all the dancing and singing in the streets
<6> nope
<6> nevermind, i'll p***
<0> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_%28slang%29
<13> REldrgn: do you have it?
<13> I'm gonna look up it in Dc
<12> BlackEyez: fbdev is the framebuffer driver, which uses a kernel driver rather than an X driver, but there are even fewer cards with framebuffer driver support
<13> thx for help
<12> damn warezer
<0> Bascially "emo" comes from a Latin word which means "To whine like a bitch" I believe
<6> oh, Tamahome!
<11> RelDrgn: okai, well im still trying to solve my problem on the net...
<11> should i try the proprietary driver?
<14> BlackEyez: Do you have anything to lose?
<3> In my mind, Emo is a kid who takes suicidal tendencies and depression on as a style of fashion and a hobby.
<12> BlackEyez: set the computer to boot into the console (disable xdm/kdm/whateverdm) then try it that way if it locks the machine or something you can reboot, fix it from the console, and at least go back to what you've got
<3> They are rarely -actually- suicidal. They just like to whine and bitch and complain about how unfair life is, even though they still live with their parents and havn't had to do a single days work in their lives
<11> PolarWolf: uh yes... i have several files transferred to this laptop that i dont have acsess to otherwise
<6> wlfshmn: sounds like someone i know here
<14> BlackEyez: I mean by trying the proprietary driver
<0> RelDrgn: hahahaha
<3> OldMonk: so maybe you -do- have them ;)
<11> PolarWolf: well im a linux newbie and not familiar with console commands so if i screw up my display, im gonna be screwed big time
<6> wlfshmn: only in #linux
<0> BlackEyez: So make sure you have sshd enabled. Problem solved.
<11> whats sshd?
<1> oy vey
