<0> I haven't worked for the last hour or so...maybe two...but I have an early meeting and I'm drunk...not sure I'll be able to get up in time for thins meeting
<0> So, figured if I make it look like I've been working, then it may be excusde
<0> or at least give me a reason to sleep in an extra 30 mins
<0> Yoon said her client was subjected to repetitive strip searches and was violated during a body-cavity search.
<0> Nop ****ing ****...
<0> what'd you think they do during a cavity search?
<0> dumb***
<0> it's not like they spread the cheeks just a tad....they gotta check the cavity, so it needs to be opened up
<0> dumb****
<0> It's not called a "body-cavity search" search for nothing
<0> WTF are you doing?!?!
<1> Er nothing.
<0> it got so quiet in here
<0> I can't stand that

<1> Poking at some Ruby on Rails stuff
<0> Well, ';east it's Ruby and not Java
<2> Nanuq is always going on about it..
<3> Cynic: Ask the fox.
<1> Yeah no kidding. Trying to do webapps with JSP is like *********ing with a cheese grater. Interesting, but not much fun after a while.
<0> Ruby's gotta be better than Java, resource wise
<0> O_o;
<2> Nanuq: i thought you were the resident Ruby guru?
<0> I mean hell...I've grater finger tips into grated cheese
<2> damn this IRC, i accidentally folded a full house earlier
<1> Mmmm tasty grated fingertips
<0> WTF would I want grated **** tip in my grated cheese?
<2> bugger the lot of you
<1> haha
<1> Cynic: Where you playing at?
<2> Greyfox: pokerroom.com
<1> Oh sweet! Who are you there?
<0> cynic: that'll learn ya for playing poker while IRC'ing
<2> Greyfox: i just contintually enter in $20 NL tourneys
<2> it's hard not to place
<2> sit'n'go's that is
<4> how would i setup cvs for: how would i setup: http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/xorg/hw/xgl/?only_with_tag=xgl-0-0-1
<0> No, I think Cynic is "LickMyChaps_50x"
<4> the compiz xgl thing
<0> hyperstream: however you want
<4> Daakman, i dont know how i want ?
<1> Yeah the sit'n'gos are usually pretty easy. Though I can't seem to win against the donks lately. Between the crappy cards I've been getting and the jack***es who'll call an all in with 2 pair and get lucky with a boat on the river.
<2> Greyfox: i'll friend you if i remember next time i'm in the web interface..
<0> hyperstream: and you think we do?
<4> possibly
<1> Not sure how much time I'll have to play this week. Seems like I have more **** to do than time lately
<0> or not
<1> I want to get in on another shorthand tournament one of these days but the only one they have usually runs before I get home from work
<2> Greyfox: yeah, it happens.. i don't usually have enough time to have a proper go at teh Ring Games though, and i'm finding I like (and am good at) the extra strategies tournaments offer/require
<1> Yeah. You don't have to place in many big tournaments to make a lot of spare cash, either
<0> I have a friend of mine that holds tourneys at his house on Wednesdays
<0> but I usually can't make Wednesdays
<0> so I don't go
<2> now whenever i sit at a ring game it just feels like the first blind level of a tourney that never ends, with infinite rebuys :P
<0> although, I've done well when I have gone
<1> Yeah no kidding. I almost never go near the ring games.
<2> i might play a multitable sometime soon, but i never expect much out of those
<1> And limit's horrible. I hate playing limit.
<1> You can almost never push anyone out of a hand in limit.
<2> heh, i've made a *bundle* playing real-life limit at the casino.. $5/$10
<2> but online, it's so frustrating
<1> I find it more frustrating real life than at the casino
<2> i'll tell you what, the dorks on pokerroom.com at the $5-10 tables have NOTHING on the dorks at the Auckland Casino
<1> I actually hit the money in Blackhawk's no-limit tournament a few weeks ago. We agreed to a chop and I walked waya with $530.
<2> most of them randoms from the blackjack tables
<2> nice
<2> for example, i once saw a nearly maxed pot get SPLIT (yes, split) between two players with 82
<1> haha nice
<2> and one of them actually goes to teh other, "oh, your hand is better because it's suited"
<2> they didnt' pair
<2> they had 8-high. i'm not kidding.

<5> morning #linux.
<1> haha
<1> Nice
<0> ok, bedtime
<0> later all
<2> g'night ricky
<1> I had a guy call 5x the big blind and call me down to the river with 8 10 the other day.
<2> wow... limit?
<1> No limit tournament
<2> *boggle* i hope he didn't river you
<2> what times (GMT) do you normally play?
<1> Ended up making 3 of a kind 10s and knocking out my AQ. 10 on the turn, another ont he river.
<1> A on the flop
<1> Usually after work, so probably most likely to show up around midnightish GMT
<2> ah ok, i'd be eating lunch then ;)
<2> but perhaps on my saturday we'll be playing at the same time
<1> Probably so, although often on saturday I head up to blackhawk and buy in to their $60 tournament. It's always too smoky up there though
<2> runner runner, eh... that's one case where you wish it was a ring game. you could rebuy and clean him out.
<3> Cynic: Yeah, but it's something you learn to do in the government.
<3> Cynic: P*** the buck.
<2> Nanuq: eh, ya lazy sod ;)
<2> 'sok, i'll add a few Ruby books to my safari bookshelf sometime
<1> The only one they have that I was able to find was "The Ruby Way" and it seems to not be a beginner tutorial.
<2> hrm ok
<1> Agile Web Development with Rails is an excellent resource but unfortunately not on safari.
<3> I have a copy hereabouts.
<3> Cynic: the goat book is semi-decent
<2> damn i hate AJs
<3> biab, food
<1> Yeah AJ ****s. It's pretty much guaranteed someone on the table has an AK
<2> i bought the pot on the turn luckily ;)
<1> Nice
<1> I'd come play but I need to go to bed real soon now
<1> This working for a living thing really doesn't agree with me
<2> yeah. don't play tired..
<2> hehe
<1> Yeah, not to mention it's a good couple of hours in a sit'n'go game which puts me at 3:30 am and I have to work tomorrow heh ehh
<6> ?me note to self - NEVER EVER buy a motherboard without a ps2 keyboard connector
<2> lol
<2> i just got AJ again, hit A on the flop, and got busted by AK. good job. :P i think i'll call it a night now
<1> I told you man
<2> yeah, and i already knew it ;) but i still did it :P
<1> Seems like every ****ing time I have AJ there's an AK waiting for it.
<1> I'd much rather hit the J on the AJ than the A
<2> oh hell yes, take those JT players out
<1> Yep heh heh
<1> Though then there's always the pr.com 4 card straight (or flush) of doom
<1> Amazing how often I've been knocked out by THAT one.
<6> this was the damn oddest thing. keyboard and all usb devices went south. rebooted still had a problem. turn off power - no go. finally plugged in a ps2 KB to gain control - still no usb. finally when linux booted up it sent a magic signal somewhere, and viola all usb working again. suspect power supply/motherboard had a toggle internaly to not do something with usb.
<2> i've seen enough quads on pokerroom to last me a lifetime
<1> Hmm I see quads about as often as I expect to actually.
<2> however, i tend to attribute that to the number of hands i play rather than hanging out in the chat lobby screaming "omgbshacks" or something
<6> the goofiest thing was saw ZERO -5V. now show volts through lm-sensors
<1> Yeah
<1> Playing 50-60 hands an hour vs 20-30
<2> XyZzY: that is.. odd.
<6> Cynic: yeah. never happened before. so - word of the day. buy MB with ps2 connectors
<2> ok, time to take a ciggy break and have a snack
<2> Greyfox: might see you at a table sometime ;)
<1> Yeah heh heh
<2> *detaches*
<6> had this sick feeling that MB had fried itself
<7> XyZzY: self-resetting fuses are a godsend.
<6> whyzzyrd: you ever hear of that?
<7> XyZzY: self-resetting fuses are quite common now.
<6> whyzzyrd: of all the USB devices going cold. and the -5V on the PS going to zero
<6> I think it's a bug in the BIOS somewhere
<8> XyZzY: hrm?
<6> j0 Viking667
<6> when I pulled the power supply cords and waited it should have reset any soft setting. It took linux to poke something somewhere to restore it
<6> I've had a similar problem to this on Dell machines. all the usb devices will go dead. you can re-plug a device in and see it power for a second or two then go dark. takes a full reboot to reset something. never this severe however.
