seyad: how i will validate string using java script
<0> hi, can i have some ***istance with my code here: http://codedemons.net/pb/?show=5281 .... i am trying to create a button that hides and revelas another button depending if the check box is marked or not. Currently I have gotten it to work by hiding and revealing a form. i wasnt sure how i can get it to reveal the button within the same form. <1> what is .layers ...........? <2> erk <2> that died with netscape 4 :p <0> not sure exactly... I ***ume I should be using getElementById() or soemthing <0> yeah i was reading that layers isnt the greatest... <1> for the buttons, it is the same way <0> so remove the layers from the page i take it? <3> sup 'chillun <3> and hey, [Torgo] <4> lo` <3> how goes it? <4> same old same old <3> eh... mind if I msg you?
<4> go ahead <1> impatient: is a trap! <1> :P <5> when you have indexof method with 2 parameters whats the second parameter stand for? <3> prolly the starting point in the string <1> http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/script56/html/a17372fa-669b-471b-9240-46927a265152.asp <5> so the first is for the char and the second the starting point from where it will start seraching for the char? <3> yes <3> and it can take a string (as opposed to just char) <5> thanks. what does substring do? <3> the String method? <6> Returns a substring? <6> :-) <5> the substring method <5> it also has two parameters, second optional <3> as far as second param <5> the first says when to start off, and the second when to end but does it include that positiom? <5> the end one? <1> what is not clear in the reference? <5> gotit, it does not include the second one <5> just checked it.thanks for your links guys <3> blah <3> +b for everyone <4> :P <4> rats, didn't work <3> mwaa haa haa <4> :P <6> :-P <7> Hmmm. <8> Hi <6> Hello. <5> what does focus stand for? <4> for our casual uni*** stations <5> well thats helpful what can i say.got humor <4> you grasp humor, but don't what 'focus' means? <8> I have to reverse a string, abcd -> dcba, should I loop, or does anyone have found a js function to i have missed ? <4> ^ know <5> im a beginner.if i knew i wouldnt be asking <4> hackarien, you might be stuck looping <4> what happens if you call split() without specifying a delimiter? <5> dont like ironic people.we are here for ***istance not being aggressive <8> http://javascript.internet.com/page-details/focus-onload.html <7> yiota, focus is what the computer is paying attention to. It is where any input would be directed and it is usually the thing that is highlighted, whatever. <8> sample of using focus <4> hackarien, actually, it says split can accept a regexp <4> try splitting on /./, then using the array's reverse method <8> HUm <8> I'll try and let you know thanks <4> followed by join(), of course <8> ... <5> CheetoMan:thanks for your friendliness <5> hackarien:thanks <8> de nada <5> how about document.update? <8> I never heard about <8> The explode work but don't catch any char <8> with this expression <8> I will loop ...
<6> hackarien: http://www.html-channel.com/pastebin.php?id=4 <8> not usefull ... the paste bin in my case ...("(((de64('" & user.cSp*** & "')).split(/./)).reverse()).join('')") <8> or ((('string').split(/./)).reverse()).join(''); <6> Looks more like LISP than js. :-P <6> And & is not the concatinator operator. <8> ... I using that within webx if you know about ... <6> You wanted only to reverse a string? <8> Yes <8> I know for the &, it's the concatenator for WCTL, the language i use to create the js string to eval (I know, that sound like crazy, but it's platform related...) <6> My method does exactly that. Reverse a string. <6> No need to mix up all that other stuff. <8> ... ok <8> sorry I haven't seen ... <8> nearly what I do, but with substring ... <8> I forgot about charAt... <8> nStr += Str.substring(i-1,i); <8> same result ... but thanks <5> hi.when you have two date fields:from to how can u validate that the to field must be bigger than the from date? <5> e.g. 3/06/2006 must be smaller than the to field 05/06/2006.how can u create such a validation on the form? <9> transform the date <5> how? <5> is there any function in javascripts that can help with this validation? <5> anyone have any idea? <5> i have done almost any validation thought of regarding dates except this <9> yiota: Date.parse() <9> I already told you to start reading <5> :-p. where should i check this out <9> www.w3schools.com <5> sk8ing:thanks just still a beginner <9> np <10> hm. <11> fb, I am runing vista b2 on this tablet now <11> [Torgo], the examples are working well in IE7 <4> yeah? <4> cool <4> not by design ;) <11> only the window drag seem broken <4> give em time <4> it's in their best interests to release the final version with it being as backwards compatible as possible <4> that's why i'm not sweating it <11> I am not worry either, I find that the current version working quite nice, the scripting seem run slower at the moment <11> someone will need to build a aero theme later on :P <4> :P <4> woot <4> http://www.tucows.com/search?search_terms=javascript+compression&search_scope=win&search_adv=0&search_size=&search_size_multi=b <11> should add that to download.com too. <11> btw, there is a spam on jscp forum <4> yeah, i have to see how much that costs <11> and in one of the commnet <4> thought i erased it <11> oh <11> sawthat yesterday <4> i may need to start treating everyone like children <12> Evelyn24 is selling cheap spam <11> http://www.upload.com/1200-21_5-5081541.html?tag=fd <4> i'll prolly implement the same captcha crap i did for the wife's site -- when leaving comments <4> http://spinning-jennie.com/ <12> doesnt work <11> ? <11> I want to go to PEI too , may be next year (I have been saying that for last 3 years) <11> [Torgo], You need to throw in some ajax keyword in your listing <4> :/ <11> you need to put down your programmer hat and wear the marketing hat :) <12> and a teen in office dress in the banner image <4> i'll get right on it <4> surprisingly, there are no hits: <4> http://images.google.com/images?q=female+model+for+selling+software&hl=en <12> http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=female+software&btnG=Search <11> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=female+model+software+stock+picture <12> the spinning-jennie web doesnt work for me <12> There was a time out before the page could be retrieved. This might indicated that the network is congested or that the website is experiencing technical difficulties. <4> time to get a better isp ;) <11> work for me <12> its THE best in this country....this stuff happens with some times
