<11> hey, i've got a question for you. say you have a table where each record is a job, and you can't move on to the next step until all jobs are processed, but as jobs are being more processed more jobs can come in, so you have to wait until the table is completely empty, and for a little while...any ideas on how to deal with it? sounds like a bad setup eh?

<4> this is where batch idea come in, when you start processing, make all the outstanding jobs in a batch, and you only process all the jobs form the table where batchid=thecurrentbatch. you cna still add jobs to the table
