<0> gracias :D por todo nos leemos maana :D
<2> omfg why won't Ant exclude this directory from the Junit testing
<2> grrrrrr
<3> becuase you didnt tell it to exclude it? :)
<2> tis very odd, must be something wrong somewhere
<3> wanna paste the junit task and i'll have a looksy?
<2> ah nah don't worry, I'm sure I'll sort it
<2> thanks anyway
<3> goodluck

<3> :)
<2> ta
<4> bravo nack
<4> bravo back
<5> Hello, I have a JFrame with a JMenuBar (with menus) and a JPanel on it...if I click on the left most menu, it pops down but is drawn under the JPanel, how can I fix that ?
<5> j netbeans
<6> c0s-: make to use a layoutmanager in a proper fashion.
<6> c0s-: or, if you're using netbeans, just use its gui builder.
<5> I'm using netBeans's gui builder...
<5> And i'm having this pronblem
<6> c0s-: then this behavious is not possible.
<5> I'm actually standing in front of such a frame...
<6> last time I managed to produce such a problem was when I manually coded a gui without a layout manager.
<5> I have not coded any layout, it is as NetBeans generated it
<3> hey Lion-O
<6> MbGone: Mornin'
<3> Lion-O - are you guys still looking for supporters?
<4> bravo back
<5> Lion-O: http://oggo.go.ro/delete.jpg could you please take a look, maybe I didn't explain very well the problem I have
<4> k lemme chek c0s-
<5> ok thanx
<6> c0s-: well, I know what problem you have since I've seen that myself. Its just that I fail to see how you could manage to reproduce this with NB's GUI builder. You could try to paste the generated code somewhere.
<5> ok, I'll do that
<6> MbGone: no idea, thats up to Clackwell. Right now I think the first thing is to make sure things settle down and not rush into things.
<3> ofcourse
<2> my home machine had ops but its pinged out, damn it.
<2> got to get that connection sorted out
<6> Deano|Wrk: mind a quick message?
<2> np
<7> sorry...there was a netsplit...Did I miss any reply ?
<7> or did you get my pastes ?
<6> c0s: the last thing I saw was "<5> ok, I'll do that"
<7> 1) http://java.pastebin.com/865667 2) http://code.bulix.org/pr9o3f-31234 (the code pasted)
<6> c0s: seems you manually added the method to define a look and feel. So I'd be looking there for the cause of the problems.
<7> the problem was before I added the look and feel change
<6> you failed to mention that :P
<7> I'm sorry :)
<7> The problem is from the very begining, since I added the menuBar and the panel
<6> c0s: what NB version are you using?
<7> 5.5
<7> It's odd...if I create a new project with a new frame, menu, panel (and a panel inside) ... the menu displays without any problem
<6> c0s: then I have no idea. This shouldn't be possible, but thats the fun with GUI builders; when something goes wrong you can only blame the product.
<7> :)
<7> I don't want to blame the product because I find it awesome...surely I do something wrong...but I dunno wat
<7> *what
<7> anyway, thank you for your time
<7> hm...found out something, it hides behind a Panel (AWT) but it doesnt behind a JPanel (SWING)
<8> MbGone: yes, we are still looking for supporters (regulars only though, to avoid having someone derail the vote by voting "no").
<9> I'll support a reregistration ofcourse
<6> Clackwell: how many do we need? I cound 7 people already 8) oh; 9. Don't forget wlfshmn & smsie
<6> counT
<6> (yes, HH can also cast a vote) :)
<9> Eh, I don't think cservices wants HH to vote..
<9> and uhm, since when is HH in here?
<6> wlfshmn: they want someone registered to X. Guess what HH is? ;) And don't worry; we've done this a couple of times before.
<8> Lion-O: i am waiting for every individual to speak up in the channel or to me in private, i don't want to count anyone in against their will.
<9> Lion-O: Well, just sounds iffy to have a bot throw a vote ;)
<6> wlfshmn: Doesn't undernet as a whole sound a little iffy? ;)
<9> even if it is revvies bot..
<9> So, clackwell is the nomination for 500?

<6> wlfshmn: well, he already said to look forward for the job. Considering the way he's active here he has my support ;)
<9> Mine too, just wanted to know ;)
<2> I vote for an opless channel
<2> I'm sure that would run without any problems.
<8> repeat from private messages:
<8> ok, we'll have to decide on the "who". i would like to have it, but am willing to step back for any other regular. (i once did not go after #sql, and now regret it, since the new owner is knowledgable, but even more of an arse than myself at times. :))
<8> once started, we have 3 days for all supporters to cast their vote. so we should make sure not to have one of the supporters offline for a few days or so.
<9> I'll be availible all this week, and next week there is only one day I will have a little troublle getting online (but I can if I have to)
<2> I'm always here
<2> *sigh*
<9> Deano|Wrk: ;)
<9> There is a local java conferance of sorts next tuesday, so I'll be busy ;)
<2> where u based?
<9> Sweden
<9> So, should I give you some details in private, or is public stupport enough?
<8> wlfshmn: like mbgone you are enlisted as a supporter and there is no turning back anymore. we have your address and phone number - and a damn good connection to mr. putin.
<8> oops, did i say putin? i meant "russian mafia"
<9> hehe, Putin is a wuzz. It's his KGB friends that are a bit of a bother
<9> I'm not 100% polonium-safe yet
<8> wlfshmn: keep going and you'll have a bright future ahead of yourself. :>
<8> in case it will take a few days, should i collect your email addresses to contact you when there is progress on this? be it discussing the "who" bit, or anything else?
<9> Clackwell: as long as my illumination isn't glowing green, that is fine
<8> i'll try to keep the topic up to date too.
<9> fine by me, I'll send you that in /msg
<2> sure
<8> in a way having the channel purged is a good thing. a) the previous owner will have to register it back. she'll be preferred over us, but still, it requires active effort on her part. in the past n years she only needed to log in within 1, 2 weeks after her account was "expired" and everything was back to normal - and the voting process was null and void.
<8> also having the channel op list cleaned up doesn't hurt, i guess.
<9> Doesn't much matter to me if the channel is registered by us or her, as long as it's registered and it's purpouse is true. Registered to someone a bit more active is likely the better thing in the end though
<2> I've thought that the channel could of maybe done with an op or two more
<2> but yes, its nice to start afresh every now and then, remove the dead wood etc
<9> I don't think more ops have bene needed per se, but perhaps the spread of ops timezone-wise needs an overview
<8> wlfshmn: i would agree if she'd be more reliable. going through this reclaiming procedure every year is tiresome.
<8> wlfshmn: yeah. the problem is always the shortage of "good op material".
<2> I have the same problem in another channel
<2> he then comes back for a week or two once he gets sent the emails
<2> then does the same thing a year later, all the whilst we have no 500 user
<8> i see good people showing up on freenode's ##java every 2, 3, 4 weeks. in here it's months between such sightings.
<8> Deano|Wrk: nice, isn't it? :| and it is even with good intention from enkei, the previous owner. but being inactive irc wise doesn't help you remember to maintain your small irc duties in this regard.
<2> yep
<2> we can all understand 'real' life can get in the way
<2> so if it does, just p*** the duties on to someone else who has the time
<2> hallelujah the build finally works.
<8> that aside, there have only been a relatively small number of incidents where having the op tag was really a necessity, i think. even the cases where we stepped in might perhaps have been solved by phrasing a few careful words to the person and then leaving them alone, i guess.
<8> Deano|Wrk: #germany is such a case too. channel without an active king, and the king who-is-gone-since-2-years not willing to give up.
<8> it's truly shakespearian. :)
<2> just the odd person who refuses to believe javascript isn't discussed in this channel, and then goes into a slanging match etc.
<8> king lear? or was it the other one?
<2> didn't he try to divide his kingdom for his daughters
<2> unfortunately my knowledge of shakespeare is limited, considering I'm Engish I should be scoulded
<2> I did just buy 1984 (again) this morning though
<2> I wish to write something about the UKs incescent drive into 'big brother' territory, for the inquirer
<2> its getting repressive over here, talking cameras, huge DNA database, etc etc etc
<9> Deano|Wrk: If you are english, shouldn't you be scolded instead
<3> yea shakespeare outta do it :)
<2> heh
<9> Deano|Wrk: I'm not english. ;)
<2> damn you
<9> Deano|Wrk: I'm also well know for my typoing skills.
<2> I'm sure your English is far far better than my (insert your language here)
<9> swedish ;)
<2> my girlfriend did start to teach me some German though, Clackwell would be proud.
<2> ah, well I don't think I know one word in Swedish :-/
<10> hello. is it guaranteed that at a Enterprise App. deploy the enterprise part will be initialized before the Web interface part?
<10> i mean at JSPInit i it guaranteed that the EJB's have already been initialized?
<3> JamieCope - thats probably up to your container to decide
<6> how would an EJB be initialized? By your application. When is your application run....
<6> it depends on too many factors.
<10> to be more specific: I have an EntityBean which, when the application is deployed, will make JBoss create the corresponding table in the databse if it does not already exist
<10> in my JSPInit i want to populate the table
<10> so i need to know whether the table already has been created by the container or not
<6> so check for the table existence.
<6> or create a control feature in the EJB.
