<0> http://www.bash.org/?629927 <1> hot women at burger kings? <2> hi. anyone familiar with JAXX? <1> feel the fireee <2> noone? :( <1> what is jaxx? <2> is a XUL library <0> It was the predecessor of JAZZ <3> the XXX version of jazz :) <0> ;P <2> :) <1> pron version? <0> oh hey RodeOrm <2> or with this: java.lang.NoCl***DefFoundError: <2> when does this error manifest? <1> Sancy, you are missing a Cl*** on the cl***path
<3> hey teralaser <2> grrr how much trouble i have with these cl***paths <2> could someone tell how does this really work <1> maybe you don't really understand the concept of cl***path <2> my environment variables are now full of junk :) <1> the javatutorial explains what it is <2> Rob_uknow you maybe right :) <2> could you give me a link? <3> Sancy, java.sun.com <2> :) <3> google is also nice :) <4> hi, I have a question, empty loop like for(;;) uses 50% of cpu, is there eny way to make it better? if I have to build some event system, where shoud I start? <1> http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/win32/cl***path.html <2> "The Cl***path is one of the most confusing things in Java." hehe :) <5> hi has anyone managed to stream audio using JMF and RTP ? <1> the concept is actually very easy <1> people don't understand it because they think its more complicated then it really is <2> well to me it seams complicated cause i can't get that grrr JAXX working because of some cl***es or what <2> it somehow uses the tool.jar <3> Sancy, add it to the cl***path :) <2> trying :( <2> as i said it's full of junk right now :) <2> RodeOrm: could you explain this to me: c:\jaxx\examples> java -cl***path .;c:\jaxx\lib\jaxx-runtime.jar Test <2> the -cl***path switch <5> has anyone managed to do anykind of audio streaming using java ? <3> this Test cl***... what package is it in? <2> none <3> is the cl*** in the examples dir? <2> i have this jaxx library which compiles Test.java and Test.cl*** <2> yes <3> which cl*** is it complaining about? <2> i have a stack trace <2> where should i paste it? <3> dont know :) <2> hmm <3> you said it was a cl***defnotfound error <3> which cl*** is it trying to find? <2> jaxx/runtime/JAXXObject <3> and did u check if it's in the jar file? <2> yupp <2> it's there <2> it's like it doesn't include the jaxx-runtime.jar <1> how did you added the jaxx-runtime.jar to the cl***path? <2> right clicked my computer - advanced - enviromental variables <2> there <2> :) <2> i don't know how else can i set it <2> it supposed that the -cl***path switch will set it but it didn't <2> :( <1> it will set it <1> maybe the cl*** isn't inside the jar <1> or it has a different name, different casing <2> nope. i checked it <2> exactle the same <2> may it be a problem that i have jre installed too? <1> no <1> what is this Test cl***? <1> did you compile it yourself? <2> can't <2> the same error in the Java Studio IDE too <1> the jar is either not on the cl***path
<1> or the cl*** isn't inside the jar <2> variable name: CL***PATH <2> variable value: D:\Development\Java\jaxx-0.94\lib;D:\Development\Java\jaxx-0.94\lib\jaxx-runtime.jar;D:\Programs\Java\jdk1.5.0_05\lib\tools.jar;D:\Programs\Java\jdk1.5.0_05\lib <2> variable name: JAVA_HOME <2> variable value: D:\Programs\Java\jdk1.5.0_05 <3> Sancy, when you use -cl***pah with the command, it adds it anyway <1> you shouldn't never have to set the cl***path enviroment variable <2> and i use the command: java -cl***path . test01 <2> the one i pasted was the example <2> but it's the same problem <2> so i should delete that? <3> i say use the -cl***path switch only and dont set env variables <2> aham <2> but the JAVA_HOME should remain no? <1> remove the cl***path enviroment variable <1> only set the cl***path by specifying it by -cl***path <1> yes <3> java_home is so that you type java and not c:\java\..... <2> and is it a problem if i have this path's set in the PATH variable too?:) <1> no <1> java_home is for specifying a specific java version <1> adding the java_home + \bin directory to the PATH enviroment variable lets you call java from anywhere on the commandline <2> yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaah <2> it worked :)) <2> thanks guys!!! <3> how did u fix it? <2> rmeoved the environment variable <2> and use the -cl***path <3> strange <3> but since it works for you :) <2> :) <2> and can i use this way: have an environment variable ex. called JAXX_RUNTIME <1> what for? <2> and call the -cl*** path with .;%JAXX_RUNTIME% test01 <1> yes <2> i have a quite long path :) <1> you could also make a .bat file to compile <2> i'm going to :) <3> you can make a .bat file that calls your java progam with the long -cl***path :) <1> or a bat file to set the cl***path enviroment for the current commandline session <2> again thank you for your help RodeOrm and Rob_uknow <1> or just compile from your favorite ide <0> or ant <2> well ant is still too alien for me :) <0> don't be so antsy <2> hehe :) <2> i just started java 1 month ago <2> there wayyyy to many things <0> Yes, and at least 3 too many 'y's <3> and there are new things all the time <2> :) i know <3> u dont have time to learn one thing and its already old <3> i took my SCJP 5.0 the other day... and java 6.0 is already on the way :( <3> cant keep up with this <2> :)) hehe <2> well that's a good thing <6> he he, good to see I'm not the only one who thought that was odd to say the least. <6> in other news.. slightly ontopic sidecomment, not getting into too much detail, the latest Sun Java Enterprise System (2005Q4-ga1) looks promising. The functionality is one thing, but it seems they included more and revised (API) javadocs, more documentation and all in all more ways to allow you to master this critter with, what I like to call, "Java-fu". Based on Solaris, Linux and Windows. <6> jottinger: and you're missed sometimes at nekonet 8) <7> Lion-O: are you referring to sjsas or sun studio? <7> Lion-O: they wouldn't recognize me any more <6> jottinger: but in case you missed the news; all my servers are moved away from Linux and replaced with Solaris. I'm now referring to the Java enterprise system (JES). <7> ah, that <7> but JES isn't solaris, is it? I thought it was basically the solaris management tools ported to Linux <6> jottinger: oooh, far from that. JES is basicly their enterprise system; LDAP server, Web server, Application server all bundled into one package. IMO pretty impressive, although I don't care much for their mta. <7> erm <7> well, I'll have to rip you to shreds over that later :) <6> lol <6> 'that' being me liking JES or me dissing their MTA over exim? You always had a way of being vague :P <6> anyway... In conclusion.. I just find it funny how I always seem to discover things "later". Solaris is what got me into Java and now I'm slowly (this is but a hobby) discovering the full extend of Java's influence over Solaris. Which I happen to like, much to learn & discover here. <8> what's up <9> Hi -- I'm getting an "unchecked" warning from some code, and I seem to have a blind spot for whatever the problem is. Can I get someone to take a look? (I'm composing a reduced example right now.) <6> one thing I'm wonderign about up front; what jdk are you using? an official sun one or a (IMO) ripped off "free" one ?
