<1> -gtk
<0> Yeah, well STILL
<1> There's no still =P
<1> It's a python script =P
<0> THREE SECONDS VERSUS MANY MINUTES
<0> Yeah well it had like 4 other dependancies
<1> --no-deps =]
<1> But I know what you mean.
<0> Aye.
<1> You could always chain...
<0> We should all move to Debian.
<0> Chain?
<1> emerge bittorrent && bittorrent-curses my.torrent
<0> Yeah I guess.
<0> Ok it's ready now

<0> bittorenting now :>
<2> Bittorenting now... bow.
<0> I wonder if I should open any ports in the firewall.
<1> Oh, by the way...
<1> I checked the temp on my system earlier...
<1> it was at 63C.
<1> Checked top, and bittorrent was at 99%.
<0> okay
<1> I dunno how long it had been like that, but I wouldn't leave torrents going for too long.
<1> (That one had been going for probably 2 weeks, though)
<1> Just a wanring.
<1> warning*

<4> anyone feel like testing my smtp server for relay ?
<4> just one message
<3> sure
<4> hmm... anyone know if accessing a mail server (smtp) via ip should be any more likely to relay than not ? i wonder....
<4> i like this fail2ban thing.... every once in a while i get an email like The IP '203.144.218.231' has just been banned by Fail2Ban after
<4> 9 attempts against 'SSH' ... thats cool
<3> ah i use denyhosts :p
<2> Lalalala.. ow! I stubbed my toe :(
<2> hey sinthetek
<5> I have a ssh patch
<5> and I've just finished writing the first prototype companion scripts to go with it
<5> beats the pants out of watching logs for em, as soon as their first attempt fails you can smackem down
<4> hmm... if i've got a 66/100 capable(settable) mobo, and its got a p2-400, i can stick a p3-450 in there right ? then, if i've got a 333 p2 in the other room, i can stick the new/old p2 400 in that... p2/p3 is swappable if the bus speed is right, right ?
<2> bhar

<2> Hey.
<7> theBear: i have a wireless card in a linux box and one in a windows box
<7> i'm wanting to nat wifi traffic through the linux box
<7> (making the wifi lan interface transparently with the wired lan would be a nice bonus, as well)
<4> is it ndiswrapper card or a real one ?
<7> real
<7> atheros chipset with madwifi driver
<4> you ****er... i only got fake ones... you wanna put the bridging stuff in the kernel, then emerge err... bridge-utils maybe, then setup your /etc/conf.d/net so that eth0 and wlan0 (orwhatever its called) get no ip, but br0 gets the ip you want them both to share.... then create a /etc/init.d/net.br0 (like any other net.blahX in init.d) and i think thats just about it....i do believe,, but i might be wrong
<9> doesn't he use brctl command to create the birdge ?
<4> err... hmm.... maybe he does the first time... maybe i could check.... he's got a lotta other stuff to do first tho :)
<4> tho from mem i'm pretty sure the magic init script handles it
<9> maybe, dunnot :p
<4> :)
<10> =D
<9> i only use bridge in the openwrt, and it was done at the install :p
<4> mmm... i only use it with bluetooth, and that is black-magic to begin with, so i don't look at it
<4> i just fixed the wireless keyboard for the good machine :) now i can boot to linux OR win without plugging and unplugging stuff, and i can do it from bed too :)
<9> hmm "from bed",good feature!
<4> woah ! i just started 2 ssh sessions from this machine to another local machine, at the same time, entered a p***word for one and it logged in, tried the other and it said blah blah socket exists already, then i said ssh blah@blahmachine again and it logged in with no p*** !
