<4> Hi everyone, I have what I hope is a simple question regarding rotatelogs - anyone care to help?
<5> whats the question..
<4> in httpd.conf do I replace the line "ErrorLog logs/error_log" with something like ErrorLog "|bin/rotatelogs /var/logs/errorlog.%Y-%m-%d-%H_%M_%S 5M", or should it be an additional line?
<4> I'm ***uming it should replace the original...?
<5> you read this? http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/logs.html#piped
<4> I had not, I was reading http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/programs/rotatelogs.html which doesn't have the "simply replace the filename with the pipe character "|", followed by the name of the executable which should accept log entries on its standard input" instructions. Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction!
<5> cool

<6> do you have benchmarks on the [NC] mod_rewrite directive ?

<14> Hello. I have installed apache for windows with the .msi version that is "strongly suggested". I need an ldap module and this installation version (2.0.55 - newest for win) does not come with it. Is my only option to compile apache? or is there something out there i am not aware of
<1> "an ldap module" doesn't say anything useful.
<1> the apache 2.0 documentation only describes two ldap modules, one of which exists to support the other, and both are installed.
<14> the windows .msi version installation does not have the ldap mod in it as far as I can tell. Looking in the modules directory the ldap mod is not there after installation. The .zip for windows does have it, however i do not have visual c++ to compile it with
<9> I heard your girlfriend was not there after installation. The .zip for windows does have it, however i do not have visual c++ to compile it with.
