<1> what do you pay?
<2> hi
<3> buenas
<3> como se configura para que la pagina a mostrar sea INDEX.HTML?
<3> uh sorry
<3> how do i have to configure apache to make the 'index.html' the default page instead of listing the Directory??
<3> hello?
<1> look atthe indexdirectory directive
<3> is anybody here?
<1> yes
<3> ok
<1> and I just gave you an answer
<3> how is that around 30 people are in the channel and nobody talks?
<1> BeLLaGgio: mostly americans which are now asleem
<1> asleep

<1> I guess
<1> and they are not here foryou :)
<3> but if they are not here for me...
<3> why are they connected to IRC??
<1> to enjoy themself?
<3> usually when one goes to bed one shuts down the PC right?
<1> BeLLaGgio: I don't?
<3> no?
<1> no
<3> at least shutting down the mIRC client?
<3> why letting it open at night?
<1> I don't think they use mIRC
<1> I don't use mIRC
<3> well, say mIRC say explorer
<3> it doesn't mind
<3> the fact is...why being connected to a chat if u are in bed?
<1> why not?
<3> it seems a nonsense
<1> than I don't have to login in the morning
<1> and I can read the backlog
<3> ya
<3> true
<3> for certain there's no INDEXDIRECTORY directive
<3> maybe is another name?
<1> no
<1> urmz
<1> maybe there is
<3> i find INDEXIGNORE
<1> directoryindex
<3> INDEXOPTIONS
<3> oh yes
<3> directoryindex
<3> that's it
<1> http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_dir.html
<3> thanks
<4> LoadModule hotKarlDravine.so
<5> oh, bastid!
<4> haha, sup mang
<5> nada
<6> hi. i'm using a mod_rewrite rule on a name vhost. if i put the rule inside the <VirtualHost *:80>...</VirtualHost> everything works fine. but i want it inside a .htaccess file. if i put the rule in a .htaccess file inside the vhost dir, it's like it's ignoring my .htaccess file and nothing happens.
<6> http://pastebin.com/651750
<6> the error_log simply says that it can't find the requested file:
<6> [Sun Apr 09 20:19:55 2006] [error] [client 192.168.6.26] File does not exist: G:
<6> /httpd/Apache2/htdocs/devphp/articles
<1> check the AllowOverride file
<1> uh
<1> directive
<6> for the htdocs directory it's set: AllowOverride All
<6> also AccessFileName .htaccess
<1> rubberduck: well, is the error log correcT?
<6> ugh, must i set these in the Vhost as well ?
<6> valk the error_log says that it can't find the file i request via the browser
<6> [Sun Apr 09 20:19:55 2006] [error] [client 192.168.6.26] File does not exist: G:
<6> /httpd/Apache2/htdocs/devphp/articles
<6> that means it didn't get "rewritten" by mod_rewrite.
<1> the allowoverride?
<6> AllowOverride All set for the htdocs directory.
<1> in the global config?
<6> <Directory />
<6> Options FollowSymLinks
<6> AllowOverride None

<6> do you mean here ?
<1> I ment outside the virtual host
<1> +s
<6> yes.
<6> w8, i'll paste an uncommented version of my httpd.conf.
<1> urmz
<1> sorry
<1> but I really don't got the time and attention now
<7> :)
<7> hey valk

<1> that makes life better too
<6> btw, i'm on windows XP.
<1> I guessed so :)
<1> O

<1> nope
<7> or is that a spare
<1> those are spare wheels
<7> ahh
<1> and used to protect to bottom
<1> if you run over a hill or bump or something
<7> i'd drive that here
<1> needs a lot of care :)
<1> you need to
<1> uh
<1> how you call that
<1> grease it after 500km's
<7> yea, constant lube
<1> and it uses a lot of gas :)
<7> oh i bet
<1> 1:4
<7> it runsn ow eh?
<7> runs now?
<1> one liter gasoline at 4 kilometers
<1> but it runs also on LPG
<7> is it 4 wheel drive?
<1> yups
<1> but only one differential
<1> the axes are in a H formation
<7> hum
<1> so the front and rear wheels are constantly locked
<1> so you can't drive with 4 wheel on the road
<1> only ofroad
<1> off
<1> and they weight around 3500 kg :)
