<21> husku, Usually the hw raid implementations are not compatible with linux kernel raid.. Actually I haven't heard of any hw raid cards that would be compatible with linux software raid

<21> Well, maybe you could boot it with a liveCD or some other way and then copy the stuff from the array.. If the card itself is broken, I'd guess you have better chances of getting the data when the whole system is not depending on the card
