<0> however, any idea? or at least say you know what i want to do..
<1> jeszcze mi powiedz, ze mieszkasz dwa bloki dalej (sorry, that is not in english) ;-)
<1> I think you should make table of pointers
<0> i can't do it !
<0> :)
<1> why not?
<0> cose if i create struct locally and add pointer to it, and then the adding function end it's work , the struct will disapear and the pointer will be useless
<0> are you still there ?
<1> no, i'm in the toilet
<1> so dont use local structs
<0> it's pretty much ****.d up, really
<1> or before finishing function set null to the pointer
<0> i have to do something 'microsoft like' and add some kind of patch, just to control one index.. i don't know
<1> i'm going to bed
<1> bye
<0> bye

<0> thanks
<2> Un Saluto a tutti gli Utenti di #c
<3> why thank you very many.
<4> wow! that was a variation on the usual greeting
<3> notice how he had leet in the address.
<3> it was an advanced greeting.
<4> how impressive :)
<5> Anybody know a gcc switch to add predefined preprocessor macros?
<6> Hello IT
<7> morning
<3> gammawave, I don't think it is possible. you can add defines with -D, but macros you probably need to add to some header and turn it on with a define.
<1> Auris: why we shouldnt thanks very much??
<7> uhm
<8> moin
<9> hi
<6> yy
<3> Xebord, que? I was thanking the advanced leet italian for his greeting.
<1> no entiendo
<1> nevermind
<10> hola
<11> hi hitler
<11> i am italian
<11> ???
<11> forza germania
<7> duh
<12> Tobe: can you put something like "#c channel party" and a wiki link in the topic?
<13> zap-zero: there is a link on a webpage
<13> just goto http://ic.dy.fi/ and click wiki
<13> I've placed some info there
<14> meeting, yeah
<7> hm
<15> heh, "wan't" :)
<4> re
<10> :-)
<10> alcoholics.
<12> ?
<10> AA meeting?
<10> >:)
<10> nvm
<12> we're not anonymous, but pseudonymous.
<16> synonymous?
<17> you want to meet? you hardly ever CHAT here, do you even know each other?
<17> :)
<14> haha
<14> indeed, not quite like #pascal :-)
<17> how do you know about pascal? you're not there?
<14> ever heard of telepathy? :)
<17> hrrm.
<12> Loonix: why do we need to know each other in order to meet?
<14> ok, anyway,.. this had notthing to do with telepathy.. i chated on pascal some time ago
<12> isn't the purpose of a meeting to get to know each other?
<14> and i remmber someone said this is mostly a non technical chat chan :)
<14> zap-zero: maybe he's hinting that at last, you have to be a little more social
<17> azi, well it became a technical poochan while i was gone from it.
<14> if you don't find a topic here, how can you do that in rl?
<12> rl-idling rules too :)
<12> at least imho :P
<17> well it'll work fine with beer
<12> agreed :)
<6> hola azi, dear cowbwoy, what's up?

<18> should i really use gnu autotools? why not scons?
<15> python
<6> cobra
<19> scons has no uninstall i yesterday discovered
<18> pjl, what about python?
<19> less platform support
<18> uhuh
<15> henux, it's the reason not to use scons
<20> scons is already the bloat that is python.
<15> +why
<18> well yes, lack of uninstall is a drawback
<19> but if you already have/need python and scons suffice for you ... just juse
<18> uhuh
<19> use it
<18> no need for python in this project
<18> why is python bloat? or scons?
<18> python is usually installed by default in linux
<6> henux: are you from scons devel team, you came here to advertise? yes? I know that, you will not lie me!
<18> no im not
<6> yes you are
<18> im just wondering whether or not scons is a good choice
<18> no im not
<6> you knew that here are only nerds, who do not use anyting what is not C? or it did not came from k&r or thompson hand?
<18> pjl, can you give any reason why not to use scons because of python?
<19> well i yesterday looked as a SConstruct file and i know a little python .. but it still fells not really nice for me
<18> vandaali, please stop this
<19> personal opinion ...
<18> thanks for your opinion
<18> but is there a reason not to use scons other than subjective personal preference?
<19> well .. automake is somewhat crappy too ... but you get used to it :P
<18> yes
<18> autotools feels like some sort of quick hack
<6> I still do not know why don't you test by yourself, henux ? it does not cost you.? maybe it will fit your needs, so>? that's why I'm joking:P
<20> henux: all things come down to preferences.
<20> henux: not all linuxen install python by default.
<19> i liked the way tom lords 'package-framework' worked .. but it was never finished / is likely discontinuted
<6> opinions are like *** holes, everyone have their own:P
<18> vandaali, im doing that right now but i feel like exchanging opinions and knowledge
<19> that was basically just a library around gnu-make
<19> including all system probing and such
<18> uhuh
<18> vandaali, i consider exchanging info a good practice if it is done in mature and friendly way
<6> henux: ok, maybe I'm to nerdy, and closed for things which want to replace ``working'' things:) bananananananana:)
<18> one thing that i found a bad thing in scons was that some libs use this pkg-config or some similar mechanism, which is not supported in scons in portable way
<18> and scons is supposed to be portable
<9> opensource alternative to bananas ?
<18> well most libs use some sort of pkg-config
<18> on linux
<18> so you are required to hardwire platform dependent things into SConstruct
<18> like CCFLAGS = '`pkg-config --cflags hahaha`'
<18> aututools is the de facto standard but i have found it very complex with a big learning curve
<20> most things that try to disconnect your brain from the process, handling all the little details, tend to be complex and thus have steep learning curves.
<18> mmm
<18> scons tries to disconnect you from the process while it is not necessary as complex
<21> lo
<22> what?
<21> yes, that's right
<22> what?
<21> exactly
<22> ah.
<4> re
<23> as much as i know, "lo" is just an interjection, a positive one...
<21> interjection sounds dirty
<23> well, then it's a positive utterance...
<21> 'utterance' sounds like 'uterus'...
<21> but ok :)
<22> as much as I care, I don't care at all
<23> thanks :)
<21> so what's up today
<4> michai has a positive uterus?
<21> :\
<4> isn't that something to be happy about? :)
<23> is this channel about c?
<21> well does that mean I'm pregnant
