<3> wisesabre for the newbee on the block. gtk apps = applications like nautilus which are primarrily GUI apps. as apposed to CLI commands. linux users by default use a lot of cli. sudo cp file /dest/dir or gksudo nautilus and use the gui file manager(nautilus)
