<6> hi, im getting ready to install ubuntu on my laptop. i used to use slack. my laptop has an athareos wireless card(d-link) and with slack I needed to download madwifi drivers. Also with slack, I needed to configure the kernel for alsa support and acpi support. what will i probably need to do when installing ubuntu to work around these problems?

<2> KyoLptp`: that's easy. bittornado is hogging the oss emulation device /dev/dsp, which is exclusive. If an app opens /dev/dsp, no other app can if your hardware doesn't natively support pcm multiplexing.
