<1> tewn: you need to use fetchmail to retrieve your mail from your current mail server, because most likely your ISP blocks port 25, thereby preventing you from hosting a publically accessible mail server. However, if you're willing to pay for it, dyndns.com will give you port forwarding for this purpose
