<9> is firefox 1.5 available for ubuntu through any backports?
<12> Hello!
<13> !ubotu kernel
<14> basically I get a server crash when activating the nvidia kernel module taken off apt-get (or the propriotory drivers from nvidia) - I've tried pretty much everything. No error messages, the server freezes but the mouse still works. I'm thinking it could be a monitor/driver communication problem simply because glx seems to work ok if I connect to my machine with an nxagent and I kill gdm first
<15> dorto: it's not available for Breezy through backports
<16> i accidentally broke xorg.conf with no backup, what is the command for configuring x from the command line?
<15> you can install it yoursef
<17> trane !kernel or !tell X about Y
<18> trane: we're botless at the moment
<0> https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FirefoxNewVersion
<15> ubuntu: sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

<0> what do you know?
<11> ownerx it doesnt support any higher then 800x600 how do i override it?
<20> python
<0> cyphase: :/ You will be fine for most things.
<12> dort, just install libstd++ 5 and download firefox 1.5 from there site
<6> try sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
<20> and C++, but i haven't used it in a while, and it was only the basics
<6> it will let you pick resolutions
<12> dorto, just install libstd++ 5 and download firefox 1.5 from there site
<21> cyphase, first learn programming, then learn languages :)

<22> When I use the Add Applications program, it hangs on "downloading file 11/11"
<22> Forever.
<22> I have tried using apt-get in the terminal to get around it but that helps none.
<0> benserwa: it does not? how do you mean?
<22> Excuse me, as I am about to paste some spammy lines of terminal output.
<0> benserwa: no
<0> benserwa: http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org
<2> benserwa, use pastebin
<22> Ahh, OK.
<12> Will there be a new ubuntu after not long after 2.14 is released?
<21> Half-Left, as always
<12> how long after?
<22> http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/8586
<21> !tell Half-Left about dapper
<3> Ok I enable multi-verse ... how do I enable so I can play mp3 files?
<0> benserwa: "sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list" and remove the ca. from the URLs.
