<0> Pygi: reconfigure wont do it ?
<0> Pygi: ill check
<2> p33ka: "apt-cache search <keywords>", "apt-cache show <package>"
<3> enchant:kk

<5> i know its a stupid qeustion cause i see when i install this last night press enter or type server
<0> err
<0> http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=116334

<3> tim: synaptic doesn't always show newest versions :-/
<5> does it just run in shell mode or does it have gnome desktop thats what i meant god im a tard
<0> Pygi: yay for apt-get then :D ill try to fetch them manually
<2> AntMaz: think it's console only (though of course you can install gnome)
<6> how to mp3 p2p????????
<0> and use dpkg to install them
<6> how
<7> AntMaz: It has just shell by default with 'server', but you can configure it with anything.
<5> k , i was going to make it a router as well
<2> rick_: read the bot's links please
<3> tim: still, apt is better then yum, trust me :)))
<5> www.freesco.org
<8> In Network Settings, under the General Tab, I am missing settings.
<9> AntMaz: iptables or one of the GUI FEs
<10> how would you delete a file through a terminal
<7> A different question: Are there things in the server install that aren't in the default?
<9> taylor_: man rm
<11> Ompaul Just using Ubuntu inthe most basic functions is yielding some very fun results. ^^
<1> ubotu: tell taylor_ about cli
<12> tonyyarusso: maybe some extra server apps
<8> Should I set up the Ethernet connection before I start setting up the info.
<13> sigh
<5> amphi what?
<7> darthbutcher: The one samba wikis tell you to look for? Yeah, I don't have that checkbox either.
<11> Ompaul, oh, and another thing failed, so it's up to 8 files. :S:(
<8> tony: So, what should I do?
<14> phelan, I skipped skool the day they did telepathy any chance you would give me more clue as to what the error message has in it :-)
<7> darthbutcher: I just skipped around that, and ended up getting walked through a bunch of stuff by cdubya. (Haven't seen him around in a while.)
<8> k
<5> ok im gonna end my session and log in with kde be back later to ask other questions thanks for all the help
<8> That isn't good.
<8> :-P
<11> Ompaul: It's not giving an error, the GUI for the installer just says "Failed" in the status column, than has a column for the size, package, and URL
<15> Really dumb question.... How do I tell what processor I am using?
<16> is it possible to run games in a virtual pc with windows xp running on the virtual pc, in ubuntu?
<9> remdul: cat /proc/cpuinfo

<17> Does ubuntu support KDE and Gnome? If so which is better?
<14> phelan, okay this is cegeda?
<15> amphi: Once again, I thank you
<8> Artanls: Ubuntu is Gnome, Kubuntu is KDE.
<18> Supports both. The best one is whichever one works well for you.
<9> remdul: my pleasure
<8> You can install them both, and switch at login.
<8> Like, right now, I am using KDE.
<19> Artan1s, the best window manager is the one that suits all YOUR needs
<17> Thank you
<15> amphi: The general image for AMD processors is the x86_64, right?
<20> can someone here with Ubuntu Breezy or Kubuntu Breezy? do a apt-cache showpkg amarok and tell me what version it shows?
<11> Ompaul This is the repositories
<12> i have 2 that supports all my needs but i cant get them to get a lower res :(
<9> remdul: for 64bit processors, I would imagine
<11> Ompaul Failed again, now it's at 7 of 9 (OMG I just had a geeky Star Trek moment. :S)
<16> Uberriffic: you mean all the depencies n stuff?
<9> remdul: I have a 32bit intel proc, so I'm not the best person to ask ;)
<14> phelan, okay paste a copy of your file /etc/apt/sources.list into paste.ubuntu-nl.org
<2> Uberriffic: 1.3.1
<20> Mordof: just the main version on Amarok itself
<20> LjL: thx, that is what i was afraid of
<20> LjL, it is 7 versions behind in the repos'
<21> what is the current flight number of dapper? still at 3?
<2> Uberriffic: i have 1.3.8 installed though
<12> pssssssst theres an armok repo now :)
<16> yeah ive got the same one
<20> LjL: where'd you get 1.3.7?
<22> does anyone know if there is any problem installing Ubuntu to a *slave* IDE drive not a master?
<20> err. 1.3.8
<2> Uberriffic: deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-1.3.8 breezy main
<12> ubuntu: not one i have ubuntu on a slave
<23> gnomefreak - here's a question: What if I tried to backport libgnomeui-0 and libgnomeui-common from Dapper? The bug that's messing me up in gLabels is a libgnomeui 2.12 bug. Unfortunately It may be fixed in 2.13 (which is in dapper) ... There are some dependencies in the libgnomeui pkg that I can see aren't met in Breezy, IDK how much trouble they'll be ...
<22> ok thanks gnome
<12> just put the grub on the mbr
<23> ^That is, "2.12 bug. It may be fixed in 2.13"
<11> Ompaul: Don't worry about it. I'm gonna screw around with it once I get home. Thx for all the help though. ^^
<24> is there a quick way to change the font color of the font in window bars? seems like it would be an option in Window Preferences.
<11> Ompaul If anything, this whole experience has taught me more about Linux. ^^
<14> phelan, okay have fun
<11> Thx to Dulouz, Ompaul, Topyli, Amphi and everyone else who helped me. ^^
<12> Breezy-CA: it will work if the breezy version of glibs can use either version lets say breezy has lib25 and dapper has lib26 if glabels in breezy depends on lib25 than the dapper lib will be no good to you
