<0> The thing is, I copied it onto another drive {the one I house Linux on, the partition itself was FAT32}, but once I reformatted the drive and rebooted, I couldn't find the partition's files; the folder in which I thought I coped them onto was empty.

I'm positive I copied HDA1 *some*where, unless I've been hallucinating for about fifteen minutes or so, not to mention that the Linux drive of 60 gigs has only four gigs of free space left, which hints that twenty-four gigs of data are there somewhere.
