<28> dudes! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/lickmeup/themeripping.png
<7> Managu, the ones you rent from the CD rental shops ...
<28> I just ripped the new theme and used it with my 5.10 install! :)
<10> marlun: try p***ing a different VGA mode (eg vga=normal) on the kernel command line... you can try it out by typing e when you get the boot prompt.
<1> bimberi: Now a lot more progress.... but looks like gcc i am lacking? Plz see http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/10012
<10> marlun: that's with grub
<21> woah
<21> pastebin crossed the 10000 today
<26> thegladiator: ehh, 'round here you can't rent VCDs -- only VHS and DVDs
<7> Managu, movie VCD , yuou rent it from the video libraries
<29> V4Vendetta, check /usr/share/applications/gnome-network-preferences.desktop
<30> Seveas, who'd a thunk it
<25> bwlang: so when I get to the prompt I click "e" and then somehow tell it to use "vga=normal"? ok =) I'll test that.
<7> Managu, its just like a film VCD , i think you can make it by burning as usual
<25> bwlang: I am using grub.
<9> LiGhTeNiN: sorry, all I saw was "Can someone help me with the codecs?", unsure after that
<1> bimberi: Can u plz look at that site? should I install gcc ?
<9> gopi: ok, now install build-essential
<9> gopi: (which includes gcc) :)
<7> gopi,sudo apt-get install build-essential
<21> ompaul, no irc exploiters in the last 2 days
<10> marlun: typing e will let you Edit the boot prompt... just add vga=normal in there (which will turn off the graphical boot)
<1> okay !
<30> Seveas, this is not a bad thing
<21> somehow I still have hopes for humanity
<30> Seveas, you wish
<21> ompaul, ignorance is bliss
<26> thegladiator: you shouldn't have any problem copying the avdat file; VCDs are normal iso's. I'd suspect hardware trouble. Scratched disk? Bad burn (if CD-R, and not factory pressed)? Faulty drive?
<0> gopi: install build-essential
<31> scipy.stats
<31> err
<25> bwlang: ok =) thanks
