There are messages in dmesg saying try lapic, try pci=pirqmask , override with idebus=xx, ALI15X3_smb region uninitialized - upgrade BIOS (there is no upgrade available) or use force_addr=0xaddr. I have edited /boot/grub/menu.lst for the pci suggestions, but there seems to be no effect. Help ?
