<1> partitiion
<2> partition!
<3> oh, true, thats too easy :) thanks man!
<1> thats it blindx
<2> :P
<1> :)
<4> Or anybody else? I'm experiencing troubles with Gparted; my partitions are having locks on them, and my attempt on resizing the partition hda1 (EXT3) are being refused. Anyone?
<1> blindx i cant spell "P
<1> "P
<1> or type
<2> Alfred__: are you ON hda1?
<4> yes
<5> rredd4, no idea what happened there, do >>gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list<< and change any instance of the word breezy for the word dapper, then run sudo apt-get update and go again
<6> ok, I'm going to send the Screen to the BusID for my Ethernet Card... Lets see if that messes it up. lol brb.

<4> blindx, yes I am
<2> Alfred__: that's why.
<7> Alfred__: you can not make changes to a mounted partition
<8> ompaul ok will do, ty
<4> blindx, but the thing is, I did, when I sued Breezy. I changed my mounted hda1-volume, while using it. I cut off 20 gb. Why was I able to that in Breezy?
<2> While using it? you weren't
<4> blindx, *when I used Breezy
<2> Alfred__: you cannot make changes to a mounted volume.
<2> Period.
<9> DAMNIT
<9> Does any mp3 have inbuilt hotkey support?
<2> rhythmbox ?
<9> Are you sure?
<2> no?
<1> audacious

<2> the buttons on my keyboard work in rhythmbox.
<1> u need new repos
<10> amarok = awesome.
<9> richiefrich, Are you sure?
<1> yes
<9> CrippsFX, Well I can't get it working
<11> Ew, amarok.
<2> I hate bulky players
<2> xfmedia ftw
<12> Killuminati: if amarok can't play your mp3s, I doubt any of the other players will work either
<9> foobar2000 ftw
<9> Frogzoo, Two other have already
<1> blindx me too
<9> They just don't have hotkey support
<10> !gstreamer
<13> CrippsFX: parse error: Try searching at http://ubuntu.cc.com.au/
<10> dang

<10> ;)
<12> not your day I'm afraid Killuminati
<14> oh, the upload is done. yippee
<1> Killuminati u need those repos ?
<14> 248782899 bytes sent in 621.76 secs (390.7 kB/s)
<10> Killuminati, I KNOW there's a solution .... I just can't remember what it is.
<4> blindx, huh? hmmm, I'm almost positive I did. My hda1 had 20 gb of unallocated space, and I reformatted it into EXT3. I'm not sure, but I guess you're right.
<10> Killuminati, for an alternative, you *could* check out Listen.
<12> CrippsFX: usually it's libxine-extracodecs that are missing, but apparently not
<2> Alfred__: would you like me to repeat myself?
<1> Killuminati http://audacious-media-player.org/Downloads <-- if your interested
<2> !xkeybind
<13> Syntax error in line 1. Try searching at http://ubuntu.cc.com.au/, blindx

<1> me too
<10> Frogzoo, I think there's an extra amarox-xine-mp3 codec ....
<15> Anyone gotten suspend2 working with ubuntu? I have a file I need to edit so I can try it but I don't know where it is.
<1> banshee should too
<5> rredd4, no just another user
<9> blindx, How do I use it?

<16> rredd4 - Shh. Don't let on. - lol
<8> lol
<1> Killuminati test in --> xev
<4> blindx, I guess you're right, maybe I did not resize it. But it's strange though, cause the partitions did not have locks on them. And my attempt on resizing HDA1 resulted in reboot leading me out of X-server for good on that breezy-installation, hehe. I guess that is what happend, it didn't work, and i managed to destroy some important files during the attempt, and ended up having to reformat my whole computer. Anyway, thanks for clearing that
<4> up.
<12> CrippsFX: amarok-engines ? we've pretty much covered the 2 wiki pages on this, & are just going round in circles
<8> ompaul dapper dvds?
<9> blindx, How do I use hotkeys?
<2> hang on Killuminati im looking for the wiki page
<1> Killuminati and then u need to man a file --> ~/.Xmodmap
<10> Frogzoo, yeah, it's true .... grr. I've had it happen to me before ... but I can't remember how I fixed it anymore!
<2> Killuminati: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Keybindings
<12> Killuminati: you might like to add the repo "deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-14 dapper main" & update amarok, see if that works
<17> if anyone would like to look at my wpa_supplicant.conf to tell me whats wrong with it here is the pastebin: http://pastebin.com/769377
<9> BLINDX
<2> WHAT
<9> You just wasted my time unless rhythmbox has commandline support
<2> you are a fool.
<9> Not really
<2> learn to read, please.
<9> I'm just not used to nix.
<12> Killuminati: no one comes to #ubunut against their better judgement ;)

<10> Killuminati, in the shell type: man Xmodmap
<2> "man xchat"
<2> "man xmodmap"
<1> Killuminati and then u need to make a file --> ~/.Xmodmap

<19> http://www.thehandofagony.com/alex/redalert2/ra2inst
<10> Alfred__, I'm still a fan of: user@localhost$ cd /pub; more beer
<5> rredd4, I have 75 of them for my local lug - currently debian for a customer spec
<15> I'm getting an error when trying to install fglrx drivers on dapper. Can anyone look at the error output and tell me what step to take?
<17> if anyone would like to look at my wpa_supplicant.conf to tell me whats wrong with it here is the pastebin: http://pastebin.com/769377
