<3> xtraitorx: if the apt-get build-deps banshee doesn't work, you can just manually install required packages
<1> okay thanks human
<4> Kman: backup any important data first!
<5> hi! I've enabled beagle in dapper and it works well but when i search for some things that i have in one folder, using nautilus or the menu options, it doesn't find them. It finds the folder where they are,but no more. I thought that this could be because of indexing (this folder is in /home/me/.../folder so it should have been indexed
<1> i have nothing important
<3> xtraitorx: they are listed here http://banshee-project.org/Banshee_Source
<5> anyone knows how to tell beagle to index things?
<1> i just dont wanna have to deal with reinstalling windows
<6> Nevermind I found one..
<2> how many partitions do you have
<1> sorry if i sound stupid by saying that
<1> currently
<7> hello

<1> one
<8> hmm..
<9> axion open the terminal and type install wine mozplugger
<2> kman, are you in the manual edit gui?
<4> what would cause a file (folder) to not be able to be deleted, even as root?
<10> sambrista, i've setup beagle and have found a few inconsistencies too
<1> going in right now
<3> Kman: nobody wonts to bother (re)instlling windows ;)
<1> lol
<1> true
<1> biggest h***le
<9> go here axion https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats
<11> rpaul: if it's immutable bit is set (see the chattr and lsattr commands)

<2> i think it might say move/resize
<1> ok
<1> yeah
<0> anamaria, try the hotkey ctrl+alt+backspace
<1> im making it 50000 MB
<2> make it whatever size you want

<12> help! how to set p***word for mysql root ?

<15> well, irc is https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IRCResourcePage or have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat
<1> with is enough
<16> hm. has anyone heard of mcopy?
<3> duncan_: sorry, no
<3> duncan_: you have to register your nick to send private mesgss
<11> Ar2No: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ApacheMySQLPHP#head-39085275bc28194cca77d021ec362ff3003b10bc

<13> <13> ok
<13> <13> I attempted to reinstall the nvidia-glx drivers
<13> <13> it installs ok
<13> <13> but then I control-alt-backspace to reload the xserver and the new nvidia drivers
<13> <13> but I get a black screen that shows a blue panel and it says the xserver has failed to start up
<1> the 7000 MB is the free space following
<13> <13> I have to reconfigure the xserver and set it to use "vesa" instead of "nvidia"
<2> or create, i forget
<3> CrippsFX: you mean the C function or the mtools command?
<4> bimberi: lsattr scalable/ -> lsattr: Inappropriate ioctl for device
<4> bimberi: not sure what that means
<7> help:i just install edubuntu after i log in i stopped at the brown ....page
<16> TheSheep, I think it would be mtools.

<3> CrippsFX: yes, I've heard of it ;)
<2> Kman, you do that?
<0> anamaria, im sorry, i have no clue...
<3> duncan_: when you write lspci
<1> wait a sec
<1> i messed up
<1> lo
<1> l
<3> duncan_: does it show you graphics card?
<16> TheSheep, well, in your reply to my first question, you answered my second one ;)
<1> i want the free space to be mroe
<1> lol
<11> rpaul: what sort of files are in scalable/ ?
<1> becasue the free space following will be my ubuntu partition right?
<2> yeah that seemed a bit small, but i didnt know what kind of media you had on that windows partition
<1> the new size is gonna be my windows partition
<1> no
<1> my laptop has barely anything
<11> rpaul: 'file scalable/' will tell you
<1> i just need about 30 GB for it
<11> rpaul: err, 'file scalable/*'
<4> bimberi: there are all directories
<2> Kman, do you want an easy data share partition?
<1> ok
<1> whats that
<4> bimberi: all to do with icons
<13> yes it shows many lines, but it doesn't specifically say "6800 gs" which is the card I have
<2> so you can share data between windows and ubuntu
<1> ok im making my windows 36 Gb abd ubuntu 20 GB
<1> sure
<1> how would i go about doing that
<4> bimberi: ls -l /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable - you should have the same files i would imagine
<3> duncan_: do you have the 'pcidev' command?
<2> well, resize windows pretty small, because most of the files that take up space will be on this partition
<1> nvm then
<1> its alrite
<2> ok
<17> hmm
<13> nope, command not found
<1> ill just keep 35 for windows
<1> wait a sec
<1> after i resize the windows partition
<1> i press resize
<12> bimberi how to add new database?
<17> my apt keeps segfaulting, does anyone know a way to fix it?
<11> rpaul: yep, 7 subdirectories (actions ... stock)

<18> what's the command to make a deb file from source?
<2> right click the free space
<19> when you install wine it does not show on the plications menu ?
<20> ok im on the right track
<21> i tried mounting my ntfs. ubuntu said it's already mounted in /tmp/disk but i can't access via nautilus. how do i fix that?
<22> Faileas: Does dpkg segfault too ?
<16> billytwowilly, man kpkg
<17> haven't tried
<4> bimberi: lsattr shows thsi http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/15286
<11> rpaul: and lsattr on that directory works fine here :/
<22> Faileas: Give it a shot. If it segfaults as well, its a dpkg problem.
<1> after i press resize though correct/
<1> ?
<2> yes
<17> dpkg what?
<1> ok
<1> and
<2> none of this stuff takes effect immediately so don't worry too much about order
<17> i need to use apt to get the packages i want right? ;p
<1> i know
<4> bimberi: there is something wrong with my directory, not sure why. my post on the forums for some background http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=1080798#post1080798
<18> CrippsFX: No manual entry for kpkg
<1> and then i make that as many GB as i want right?
<4> bimberi: did you have a look at that pastebin?
<2> ok well if you resized the windows, click on the free space and then select new
<1> i did
