<9> ilba7r: no sound, long error message. when I go to alsa mixer there is ne mute square for my iec device, and it automatically resets to pcm. If I go to volume control, I can mute the iec device, and after restarting system I get sound, but it reverts back to the silent treatment after a couple reeboots. When the sound is not working no sound works: alsa, esd, oss, nada, but when it works, I can use all three
