<0> patrick52222: ok. your internal/local network works fine. all your settings are correct. if you haven't put a block in /etc/hosts.deny your router is blocking the traffic most likely.

<13> would anyone upgrade ubuntu 5.10?
<18> :)

<14> gnomefreak: still getting the warnings and errors
<21> I downloaded and installed Ubuntu yesterday. After I installed the desktop, I had 23 updates waiting for me. I installed the updates and it said I should reboot as soon as possible because one of the updates was a new kernal. So I did and I go back to the desktop I got an internal error mesg.: "Unable to initialize HAL." I ran the old kernal and the same thing. I reinstalled HAL and the same thing.
<12> I will upgrade to newest build
<3> dungodung: what are they?
<0> xstation: no prob. it works. the router settings didn't update very quick after the portforwarding rule was set, that's all
