<0> gaz-: generally speaking, yes. it's true for nvidia and ati drivers, vmware, madwifi drivers, etc... you shouldn't need the whole source unless you're rebuilding the whole kernel
<3> frodrigu, see if there is a section starting with "title" that corresponds to Windows. Start looking from the end of the file going backwards. If there is none, we will create one.

<9> pal_, if you have a tar.bz2 file, you're going to have to compile and install it manually, and then you're going to have to check manually for any security updates, etc. If it's packaged in universe or multiverse, you should consider using that.
