<8> The only thing i changed in the menu.lst is the title (mynewkernel), the root remains the same as it was root (hd0,5), and the kernel field says kernel /boot/mynewkernel ro root=/dev/sda6 . I dont know what is wring with it. Please help
<9> mmm -- running SuSE10.1 Xgl/Compiz + gnome and something went wrong in my ~/.gnome2 configs then totally lost compiz and desktop screwed... I dunno what I've done, nothing special but gnome or SuSE seems very fragile
